Xabi was so unfortunate to get booked as Gudjohnsen seen him coming from behind and took a dive but his playacting is nothing compared to Drogba who is a cheat and deserves to be kicked in the face then he will have a good reason to go down.
Will Xabi play the second game?!
No he is suspended after picking up that yellow card!!

Xabi will miss the second legg.. according to our dutch comentators ;)
Liverpool will mis him badly.. He's important for Liverpool's build-up for what I saw yesterday. In the spanish national team he has the same role.
His defensive skills impressed me, he played like Mauro ;)
Hahaha!!! Bye-bye Xabi! Bye-bye Liver! :D

OMG!! I forgot to have a moan about the pathetic and boring first leg between Liverpool and Chelski as many pundits called it interesting but if it had been two Italian teams then they are scum of the earth and the evil of football.
I hope that tonights game is completely different but I just can't see a 7 goal thriller.

Well I liked the match, it was very tactical. Let's hope Liverpool will start tonight just like against Juve, some powerplay and goals :D

They will have it hard in the final though against AC Milan. (Unless of course PSV turn it round tomorrow)
Good luck to them.

The BASTARD was beaten!!!!!!!!! Finally!!!!!!!! Incredible!!!! I've waited one year for this day of revenge !!!!!!!
Liverpool is from now on my second fav. club !!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Benitez!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BENITEZ FOR DEPOR 2005/2006!!!!!!!!!!
easy Jorge
easy? EASY?? EASY?!?!?!?
Have you got Alzheimer or what?!?!?
Did you forget what the stinking bastards did to us a year ago?????
How they stole us the deserved win with one f.u.c.#.#.#.#. penalty in two matches??? I sweared revenge, I told a year ago already that I wanna see all participating Porto players and Mourinho bleed for this and today was payback time!!!!!!!!
PAAAAARTYYYYTIIIIIME!!!!!!!!!!!!
aaaaaah merde!!!
why Chelsea couldn't win??
Liverpool is sooooo boring. 10 defenders and 1 forward.
But Chelsea today played very bad second half, like headless chickens as also Real sometimes does (being best but steril)
The Dutchmen were absolute crap today!
I remember last year very well.
I remember spending hundreds of pounds to go and watch the game and then wandering how long Depor were going to leave it before they started trying to win the game.
I was more unhappy with all the players wearing blue and white that froze or didn't play with the belief that we could get to the final than I was with Mourinho or Porto. At the end of the day, they beat us because they wanted it more and they believed in themselves that bit more than we did.
We lost to a penalty that was a definite penalty so I don't understand how you can get so bitter just because we were beaten by a more professional outfit than ourselves.
In many ways, I think the exact opposite has happened to Mourinho this year. I thought we had the best individuals last year in our team but we simply didn't bond together as a team on the pitch whilst Porto had a great team and work ethic without neccessarily having too many technically gifted players (Deco and maybe Maniche the exceptions).
This year you'd have to say that on paper, Chelsea had the more talented individuals on paper but unfortunately for them the game was played on grass and not paper and Liverpool had the better team effort and IMO deserved their win.
Jaime Carragher was excellent tonight and if he holds the back line together against Milan(or possibly PSV ;) ) , Liverpool might just have a chance. I'm still going for a Milan win but I've been writing Liverpool off for months now and they keep defying me.

hey ap, did you bought my snicker already?
Yes, Freak, it's in the right drawer of my desk at home... :rollani:
I remember last year very well.
But you all seem to have forgotten, the cheatings, the countless fouls (and ours gave them a penalty HA! of course the penalty was deserved, but it was ridiculous compared to the whole of the two matches...) and the most ugly of it all: the Porto style of play last year....
I still plea for FIFA rules that just ban teams from international tournaments who play that most ugly cattenaggio style...
Football is football Jorge, and everything counts, including Mourinho's silly mind games ;) Maybe they did nothing but we didn't play well either in those two games. They got a penalty and went through. That's it.
You only remember the "cheatings and countless faults", but I remember how our fans were welcomed in Porto (like kings!), and how we welcomed them. It was a huge party and we received standing ovations on the streets, as they did in Riazor. Also, I'll always remember how Porto fans came after the match to encourage me, 'cos if they wanted to go through they didn't want to do it at the expense of Depor, and that saddened them, and touched me even further. Both clubs, both countries are twinned, and Mourinho (even if he's evil!) won't change that feeling.
That's the reality.
Yet, I'd appreciate if you could avoid things like "sardine munchers" and things like that, because I'm Galician and we are "sardine munchers" too (I'm sure you can appreciate that). Plus I have Portuguese family and I could consider that as an insult/somewhat racist remark (addressing someone in a negative way because of his/her ehtnic or geographic origin).
Chelsea are out, ok well. Now let's look forward to good football and see what we get in the final, ok? :)
Peace :D

I haven't forgotten the way they played at all Jorge. They were a physical side throughout last years campaign and players like Deco and Carlos Alberto were diving all over the place whenever they got touched.
The sad thing is ; they pushed the boundaries as far as they could go but in the eyes of the referees, they didn't cross them. The bottom line is, they did what they had to.
If you want to be angry at anyone then be angry at the authorities or referees that don't punish the overly physicalness and cheating that some teams use to great effect.
Can you honestly say that if we had played Porto at their own game and outmuscled, outkicked and outcheated them, you would not be laughing your ass off that we knocked them out by doing to them what they did to others????
Football gets more and more cynical each year and the teams that don't adapt seem to get left a bit further behind.
Do I like it? Hell no but I understand that footballers are like kids and are always searching for their limits. If the authorities and referees don't punish players for the uglier things in football, the players deem them as acceptable.
I still plea for FIFA rules that just ban teams from international tournaments who play that most ugly cattenaggio style...
If UEFA won't even ban the likes of Nuno Valente for a deliberate elbow off the ball (on Scaloni??), captured on TV cameras, then I don't think you're going to have much chance of ugly football being banned.
I don't think you were being 100% serious though ;)
Are you trying to deprive Dip14 of his Most-Outspoken Award for next year? :D
Edited to add: I haven't forgotten that we'll all be massing round your house in front of the big TV next year for the WorldCup forum meeting and if I see any sardines on the B-B-Q, I'll be taking photos and posting them here.
jorge, u r getting over the top.... u didnt realize that they played with more intensity in those semis........ it is sad, but v have to understand it........ there is no point in scolding them time after time....... thats not the depor culture...... so just cool down....... and hey, most of us agree with u, in chelsea's defeat.....

Yes but your sissy 'love and peace and harmony' thing you got with the portugese WAS NON EXISTANT ON THE PITCH DURING THE TWO MATCHES.... huh?? how come???
Perhaps coz your Porto-brothers&sisters were only the civilians in this WAR and the civilians weren't on the pitch... the massacring terrorist group of Mourinho was on the pitch!!!! And I only address all of my anger and hate to that terrosrist group of 2004/2005 called FC Porto under a leader called Mourinho....
Yet, I'd appreciate if you could avoid things like "sardine munchers" and things like that, because I'm Galician and we are "sardine munchers" too (I'm sure you can appreciate that). All words I throw in are solely aimed at those 11+1 villains from last year... Otherwise I absolutely don't care about Portugal...even if they sunk into the ocean... they are the southern neighbours to where my family comes from, like italians (ha! what coincidence!) are the southern neighbours to the place where parts of my girlfriends relatives live...
I would NEVER do a sweet harmony thing with those PIZZAS!!! So why should I with the Portuguese??? Just because YOU got relationships to them??? Hey I don't care about your relationsships.... I ONLY CARE ABOUT FC PORTO SQUAD AND TRAINER FROM LAST YEAR... but a lot of them have been beaten this season already and I feel relieved.... after yesterdays disaster for Mourinho.... HA!!! HA!!! HA!!!!!

Jorge.
I consider you just went over the top. You've been disrespectful big time, even hostile. This is not any "war", and that certainly is not the tone of this - international - forum. In consequence, I take what you've said as a personal and direct insult (I'm sorry but that's how I feel it).
"your sissy 'love and peace and harmony' thing you got" - among many other things you said - are not the right answer to the tone of my post. I thought that just a few words and a friendly call to calm down and 'get over it' would do it. But I'm afraid it didn't happen.
"A buen entendedor pocas palabras bastan", as the Spanish saying goes ('a word to the wise is enough'). I've always been respectful with you, and as friend - from friend to friend - kindly asked you to stop something which has been hurting me personally for the last year, and which could also be understood as a racist remark by the misinformed/occasional reader. You didn't do it.
I don't PM people. I don't show "cards". Anything important I have to say I say it here. I'd say that's ok with you since you've complained about that in the past.
I think we're all adults and we all can read, so everyone can draw his/her own conclusions on the matter and keep them for themselves.
As for me I'm done.
This is the CL 2004/05 thread.
Jorge.
This is the CL 2004/05 thread.
Xoan.
You're 100% right.
jorge, u r not understanding that this a game.... more shameful things have happend in the past, so there is no point in scolding porto like this.... i've said this last year when i saw the thread named "FC Porto from 2004 - Track those bastards till revenge..." i believe every football player, club and administrators deserves a certain level of respect, and there is a limit to how much we can degrading them.... but, unfortunately nobody responded to my comments...... so at least now, lets stop it....

Porto deserved to beat us last year - end of story!!!
Did anyone listen to Mourinho moaning about Liverpool being defensive and that the better team lost, the guy has double standards because his team were even more negative at the Nou Camp.
I just hope that PSV/Milan conquer Liverpool in the final!!
i hope PSV will go through...... but sadly beasley is out injured...

There is no panic, We beat Manchester United away and last year I did it to Deportivo. I can only say I think we'll go to the final...Last season, when I was at Porto, it was 0-0 in the semi-final at home to Deportivo and we beat them in La Coruna. It's 0-0 here so we can do it again
I supported Liverpool and I was so nervous and tense only because of this statement!
... last year I did it to Deportivo....
Thanks crazy diamond!!!

NOOOOOO!!!! PSV deserved more!! They were a million times better than Milan today! Even Lucius wasn't bad! And one of my all time favourite players Cocu scored two fantastic goals! I can't believe Milan would come to Eindhoven with the exact same attitude that kicked them out of Europe last season! How could they do that? I'm so upset...I was a Liverpool supporter yesterday and I will be a Liverpool supporter on May 25th. Disappointed in Farfan again, but the Park Ji Sung is definitely in my UEFA team of the season. I'd never seen much of him before this year and I'm very impressed. Alex too is a solid defender, it's a pity about Ambrosini's goal. Otherwise, two players I'd be happy to have on my team. This blows! I'm sick of Milan! I hope they don't become the new Real Madrid (in terms of European dominance for the next few years) Go Reds! :(
Milan rocks!!! Bye-bye PSV!!! See you!!!
FORZA MILAN!!! CL IS YOURS!!!
it was just horrible to see a team having so much of firepower playing like wht milan did last night.... PSV was terrific and they'll be remembered more than milan..... by the way a.houston(u r the old sugary tea, right???) , wht was wrong with farfan??? he played as the right winger, rather than as a striker.. right??? he reminded me of our pandiani running everywhere on the pitch....

Can I ask you 1 thing? Did you see the match? Otherwise you never would talk this way of shit. I know you're a "milan fan" but PSV completly deserved to go to Instanbul. PSV deserved to go through to the final but they didn't take there chances in the first leg and not having an away goal really hurt them. Milan in the last few months have been very poor but they have a knack of grinding out victories for e.g when they played Fiorentina at the weekend the viola created about 10 chances and scored once but Sheva had 2 and scored twice. Usually they play great football but Seedorf, Pirlo and Kaka haven't been performing so they don't have the flow they usually have.
myfavdepo, Farfan has played on the wing all season long usually on the left with Park on the right and Venegoor down the middle withBeasley coming on to replace him in the second half.
Milan is soooooooo boooooooring! :blind:
oh what a pity... PSV deserved it so much... They were better in the overall...
Well, normally I don't mind Italian teams, but I do mind Berlusconi so... I suppose it's a "go Liverpool!" now

Don't worry, Freak, I do respect any club playing in CL semifinals. Moreover in the morning when I watched highlights I was a little bit sorry for PSV because double Liver-PSV-wins sensation would be very interesting...

Yep, that's me. Okay, I watched the game again, and Farfan wasn't as bad as I had originally thought. I was thinking about the first leg - that's when PSV should have put Milan away. Farfan and Beasley really missed a lot of chances then, but there's no point crying over spilled milk now...

Hello, Jon! :)
Well, Liver made a good job but really I don't believe in your success in Istanbul. But we say in Russia "The strongest will win". So let's wait and see.
As to Cheslea, don't forget that it's only the 1st season under Mourinho's rule. In EPL Chelsea finished 1st and beat a great ManU's record with 95 pts.

Thanks Feliuk.
AP, Chelsea have only spent £210 million in 18 months, and yes it is Mourinho's first season, it's also Rafa Benitez's first season with spending a lot less for players.
They might have got the most points, but they conceded only 15 goals in 38 matches.
Liverpool once won with 16 conceded in 42 games, in the days of real football when we used 15 players in one season, not the 4000 Chelsea have.
I don't care HOW we win but only that we win, and if we have to play in the uefa cup next season i don't care. Had some great away trips this year to á coruna, monaco, leverkusen, graz and chelsea.

Has anyone been gripped by CL fever yet????
I'm really looking forward to the game tonight and it should be really interesting with an attacking Italian team with an Italian manager going up against a fairly defensive English team with a Spanish manager.
I've heard that the ref is a bit card happy, I just hope he doesn't ruin what should be a great game.

I don't watch CL apart from Depor's matches but since yesterday... Liverpool, Liverpool, Liverpool!!! :D :D :D
Liverpool 0-1 AC Milan !!! 50 seconds in !!!
Maldini scores!!! Pirlo assist!!!
Only his third ever goal for AC !!!
FORZA MALDINI !!!
Liverpool 0-2 AC Milan!!!
Crespo scores!!!
40 mins gone...
Liverpool 0-3 AC Milan !!!
Crespo's second!!!
This is turning into a Masterclass!!!
Half time...
Liverpool 0-3 AC Milan!!!
Maldini 01
Crespo 40,45
This is one hell of a dominant AC performance, Liverpool have been nowhere near them. Will the second half be any different???
A bit harsh on Liverpool there Hippy.
Milans fnishing (and I don't mean Baros) has been a masterclass but I don't think Milan have dominated posession have they?
Liverpool have had quite a bit of posession but they always seem to make the wrong choices when they get anywhere near the Milan area.
Individually, Liverpool have had a few dissapointing performances but I've been surprised at how much more of a game this is than the traditional European Finals featuring Italian clubs.
In hindsight, maybe that has been Liverpools downfall though :D

When AC Milan had the ball they looked in total control...
Dudek is a liability, and Liverpool's back four look ordinary.
Gerard looks like the only Liverpool player who wants it.
Liverpool 1-3 AC Milan!!!

53 Minute, is this the start of a Liverpool comeback???
Liverpool 2-3 AC Milan!!!
Smicer scores !!!
A minute after Gerards'...
GAME ON !!!
This is a game of two halves!!!
Only Manure have ever come back from a goal down to win the CL, can Liverpool do it???
Gerard brought down by Gattuso-PENALTY!!!
Can Liverpool equalise???
Alonso with it-scores on the follow up!!!
Liverpool 3-3 AC Milan!!!
This is a cracking game. 6 Goals in a game!!!
What's happened to AC ???
Stoppage time-looks like we are going to extra time!!!
Extra time it is...
Incredible game!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have to say though, Liverpool probably need a winner in extra time because I fancy Dida to do better than Dudek in the shoot-out.
Liverpool might be the more tired of the 2 teams so they'll need some big hearts out there to finish the job.
My boys are loving the game but I think that's because it's way past their bedtime and they know they don't have to go until there is a result.
I think my wife is going to kick my ass though.

wooohooo....6 goals in the same net!!
what a night..anyway...Congratz to Liverpool!!
what a match, unbelievable. Great play of Milan, great comeback of Liverpool...
I have no words... :depresse:
I supported Milan much in this game and I'm very sorry about their loss... But they (and no one else!) are guilty for poor efficiency... Yes, the ref unfairly ruled out a clear Sheva's goal... But he had to score 2 or 3 times more...
Congrats to Liver, you deserved this.
Great game!!!
I supported Milan too, but Liverpool were great!
all i care abt is "MILAN LOST"... and i dont care anything else....
Berlusconi's team lost... :D
(in normal circumstances I'd go for the Italian, but not AC Milan, no way...) Great game to watch anyway!
I'm just happy for all my Liverpool friends :)
go liverpool
you never walk alone
