Am very surprised that we are considering bringing in such a young and inexperienced centre back to play in Primera.!

Just a thing about this news item - http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/n-news.php?cid=4548

Servette FC is a Swiss club, not a Swedish club

me too defence was soo poor in the highlights against gijon. not only aythami and seone but evaldo looked really lazy as well. the entire backline looks disorganised.

He'll be a starter alright. But I'll be worried when the International matchdays come around. Ze Castro, Gama, Pizzi, Oliveira, Roderick, Salomao and Aguilar will all have options for call-ups to their National Teams (senior or underage). This could upset the continuity of Oltra's line-ups.

Anyway, welcome Roderick!

Rack, we will not have that problem in primeira its only like that in lower leagues like segunda. I think?

Yes, Primera stops at international breaks. But the players get more exhausted and could pick up an injury at national teams. Also they could have a lot of travel, Aguilar (Colombia) would need to fly to Colombia for concentration at national camp, maybe fly to the game, and then get back to A Coruna.

Anyway I will be proud of all our players if they are picked at national teams and they can also get a lot of positive things that can be transformed into their game at the club.

Apparently we are going to start the league with Marchena - Miranda duo at the centre of the defence and then we'll see whether Ze Castro will manage to return his spot in starting eleven. Hopefully there will be no need to use Aythami's services
