If we are forced to go down to Segunda B, I think it'll be over, unfortunately.

I don't expect us to go down to segunda but if we don't move in the market and bring no one we are a relegation candidates...!!

No, I'm afraid.

At least it's what the administrators said, that the relegation to 2B would mean the liquidation of the club...

Strange poll this, eh?

I voted that we'll survive because I had a feeling a consortium would jump in at the last minute and save the day. But that was yesterday. Today, we're another day closer to August 1 and nothing has moved.

Also, the opposing views of the judge and the Club/Lendoiro as to how much the players can be paid (€6m or the full €11m) is unlikely to be solved in the next 6 days. This is the real problem to solve in the short term, as this is what will tip us over the edge to liquidation.

Are you sure about that? I read that with the new rules in Spain, if a new club is built, it can't play in the same stadium, has to have a different name, etc. If the club is liquidated and has to start over in Tercera from Fabril's spot (if that is possible), the Riazor will be demolished and we'll play in Abegondo without Deportivo in the club name, in different colours, as far as I understand.

To Greg: we are not the owner of Riazor, we hire it from the city for 1 EUR per year. Another (brand new) club from La Coruna could rent it and play in it as well.

Fiorentina is my example: in 2002 they were sent to 4th level, and in 2004 they were a primera side. They have always been viola, never changed the colour and the new club put the word viola in their name. So we might be Deportivo Blanquiazules La Coruna.

The Riazor belongs to the city, this will be fine.

I haven't read the new rules Greg (thanx for mentioning them) i just keep huge doubts on whether all those rules will be applied just to Depor.

I would give zero chance for example to Valencia playing at a gym/stadium, with the name "batmen fc" under purple colour....

Those that are to apply the rules, count on the political effect of this. Depor isn't a no-name club, a toy of some business man that only his family and friends attends the games.

But who would play in a 35.000 seat stadium then? If a new club is built, it isn't allowed to play in the same stadium as the old one. Such a huge stadium that is completely abandoned for years in the middle of the city, what's the point? I think the city would just sell the grounds and that'll be that.

Let me get this right - there's a new rule that no-one else (other than the liquidated club) is allowed to play in a stadium not even owned by the liquidated club? That's mad!
