In case suddenly Spain leaves the EU, no foreign players are allowed any more. Neither the ones that are fake-Spanish (ie Messi, Ronaldo, Roberto Carlos etc). Who'd win the league & who'd get relegated?

Which would be the best all-Spanish squads that teams could form?

It would be still Madrid or Barça. They have shown that if they want, they can promote youngsters with loads of quality:

- Sanchis, Martín Vázquez, Michel, Butragueño & Pardeza won 5 leagues in a row for RM.
- Guardiola, Roger, Oscar, Ferrer, Sergi did too for Barça.

Neither Bilbao nor RS can achieve those results as they only get players from the Bask country (though things are changing at RS). Even now, you cannot compare squads as for example, RM, instead of expending 24 m in Baptista, would have spend them on Joaquín, Jesús Navas, Reyes... Barça could have done the same. Moreover, they would not have let go players as Morientes, Luis García...
The only thing Bilbao can offer instead is 1.5 good players (Yeste and the "Llorente project").

BTW, the "fake Spaniards" would still be 100% Spaniards. You can't deny a Spanish citizen as Messi, the right to play football or do whatever he wants in Spain... Other thing is the case of Ronaldo, that came in, played pro football and after 2 years, got the citizenship.

And if this was the case Deportivo would win the championship with there 10 out of 11 former national players...

It's BS. Messi is no Spaniard and neither is Ronaldo.

Athletic or Madrid or Barca is only theoretical: what would the squads actually look like, this season? I'm sure Madrid and Barca would not do so well at all.

You can think it's bullshit. Spanish law and the judges don't think the same. They are Spaniards as me and have now the same rights and duties as me. And that's a fact (whatever is your opinion about it).

If you apply the "virtual rule" right now, I'm sure Depor would be the n. 1 contender for the title together with Valencia
