if we got 2M to spend, why not spend 3M on Valter Birsa (Auxerre) there is intrest for him from Italy (Napoli) and i doubt he will be this cheap again.

-has speed
-has dribbling skills
-has a powerful shot
-can cross
-is young

Maybe bringing in either John Carew (A.Villa) or Altidore (Villareal) on loan in January would be good, to help us in the 2nd half of the season. Coz at the moment it looks like Riki is the only one capable of scoring the goals.

Then in the summer we can look at signing a striker on a permanent basis.

He's not that young anymore, but Carew has still got 2 years of top flight football in him.

Longer term, I wouldnt mind one of the Uche brothers.

Kalou Uche (Almeria) - 27 years old (179cm) - approx 3m euros
I.Uche (R.Zaragoza) - 26 years old (171cm) - approx 5m euros

According to AS.com - Lendoiro is chasing Bermejo (striker) from Xerez.
Apparently we are able to add him to the squad becuase of Michel's long term injury, providing of course that a deal can b done with Bermejo.
If this is the case, Michel can then be added to the 1st team squad in january, taking Piscu's place, if he does not return.

He is quite useful, he scored 12 goals for Xerez last season in Primera.
The only problem is his age, he turns 32 this month.. but if he was available, I would seriuosly consider a 2 year deal. He is experienced, and is used to playing at struggling clubs. Therefore in theory, he should have the mentality and strength to help us get out of the bottom half of the table.

To be honest, he is probably the best we can hope for, in his price range.

i'd take him for less than 700.000, not more
don't really think he's the answer to our problems; it's deeper and will need a drastic shift in team strategy
Now with Lotina possibly coaching his last games, it would've been better to wait with buying anybody until the new coach turns up

I agree, but if we can get this guy for around 500k, I think it needs to be done. Coz at the moment, the only guy who is likeley to score 10 goals is Riki, and he isnt even fit.
