Fernando Vasquez needs to focus on set pieces during training sessions, set pieces against us and for us as well!

I thought their wingbacks ( Nando, Kitoko) were brilliant today, maybe Depor should have them sitting on the bench next season.

Luisinho was brilliant today as well

I hope to see him and Marchena in the starting eleven ASAP

Well, well, well. You were right after all, Hari, with Marchena as a pivote! Missed the game, but echo Greg's sentiments about elimination being a better thing for us. We defo do not need a two-legged series in the next round of Copa on our agenda right now. Still not nice to go out against a struggling and supposedly inferior team than us.

you can see the mistake from the very start playing with Marchine as pivote ! plus playing with three central defenders thats rubbish

with such teams playing in their house you should use a more attacking strategy

I couldn't see the match, as I was working. Although I expected a win, I'm not very worried with the defeat, as maybe it's better for us to be focused in only one competition. But on the other hand, it's a pity for the players that don't play usually (specially fabrilistas), as they could have more minutes in Copa and get more experience.

I think Marchena has played in that position for the national team, so his position was perfectly alright..

Yes, during his carreer Marchena was equally used as a CB and a pivote. Conceeding goals after corners does not refer anything about his defensive pitch-work during the match...

Not sure I agreed with the formation choice and may have lost a good opportunity. I like the fact that he played the Fabril boys but think that he should have gone for the win with them playing the normal 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 that he's been using. Obviously we were never going to advance far but an extra two games against a decent opponent would have given the young players another chance to prove themselves at a higher stage and given players returning from injury a chance to gain a few minutes.

Whether Marchena has played as a pivot for the national team or not is October 2013 and not 2007. Marchena is returning from injury, and should not have been selected for that position last nite.
FV selecting 4 centre backs baffles me! Asking JuanCarlos, Bicho, Luis and Teles to go and win this away game is asking a bit much IMO.
Its also evident that we need another striker with more experience than Luis if we are to challenge for promotion.
Its good to have Luisinho, Marchena and Nunez available for the next game. But attacking wise we are lacking strength in depth, as we all know.

I totally agree. I just don't understand why we played with a back line of 5 as our players that played can play at least equally and there was no need to reinforce the defensive end. If only Kaka/Uxio would be benched and Nunez was a starter we could have posed a 4-2-3-1 or 4-1-4-1 system that could have brought as more stability and aim.

Well I kinda agree that it is OK that we don't have more aditional games in Copa and that it could be traumatic to play against Primera with Fabril players. But afterall it's a sporting event, so we always have to at least try to win.
