Actually, I had never heard of Joma until Depor signed with them...

Hehe like me, Xoán, but wait and see: After going to the championsleague finals lendoiro will surely have a lot more options to choose from as sponsors...

If we tie up with nike, i can easily buy Depor's jersey. It's really rare to find joma's products here in Malaysia.

Yeah, some good sponsor contract wouldn't be that
bad for Depor. Wouldn't Nokia sound nice?
(A big company from Finland which makes mobile phones..actually the biggest mobile phone company in the
world...)

I think Joma started with football boots and then opened the market. Many Spanish players use Joma boots but the clothes are not as popular.

Default Fadesa (official sponsor)

Hey you guys,

I was just wondering if anyone knows anything about the club's contract with Joma and also Fadesa .. when did you we sign them and when will they expire? How much did the club get and what is Fadesa anyways?

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers

Joma (a Castilian firm) was signed in in 2000/2001 for a period of 3 years and as Gabi said, it was renewed last year (2003/2004) and is due to end on 2006. The contents of the contract are not known but according to some studies, it's more than 1 m a year. The president of Joma is now a very good friend of Lendoiro.
Fadesa is a big construction firm located in A Coruña and with business in Spain, Poland, Morocco, etc. We signed a contract with them in 2000/2001 for 1.2 m as they were interested in promoting the company in Europe. In 2003 we renewed the contract for 1.8 m and three more years.

I heard a while back that for the Centenario, we will have our own sports brand make the shirts. I guess this is no longer true then?

We already have our own sports brand: RCD. The shirts are made by Pull & Bear, a sister branch of Zara. But Zara is not interested in entering the world of sports on his own nor to be totally identified with a team. It could be that for the Centenario, a special shirt will be made by RCD (eg. Pull & Bear). But taking into account that Depor's merchandising ain't very good, I doubt that Depor will excange that 1-2 million we get from Joma (or someone else) for the possible earnings we can make through merchandising.

Is there a website for RCD so we can order some shirts??

Don't know. The official Depor's on line shop doesn't show any item (well, that's a lie. They show a scarf). Try ekipos.
