Here in Germany many people laugh about me because I support Depor. Most people canīt even count 3 Depor-players. I think itīs because the media just ignores Deportivo and thereīs no way to get to know Depor. Thatīs why I think there canīt be 1 million Depor fans around the world.

Since frequent fotballwieving by no means is synonymous to actually understanding the game i don't think it's a surprise that this website, great as it is, isn't more populated. Off course the number out there isn't in seven figures (Lendoiro, ever the optimist) but 5 or maybe six without breaking a sweat.

Myself for instance, a Depor junkie as i am, doesn't post here often, but i do follow the discussions and I do believe there is a lot more where that came from.

Well, how much coverage about the spanish league is there on free TV in Germany?
20 minutes a week in 'La Ola' (I even dunno if that still exists...) perhaps? So that media ignoration probably won't just affect Depor but like 18 teams of primera at least...

The free TV coverage of Champions League was the main source to introduce Depor to germans in the past years I believe.... and with that of course also more mentioning in press, etc...

But thats also my experience, you can be Barca or RM fan - on everything else you might be asked to better support your local team (even if its in third division...) instead of some unknown team from 2500 km away...

Ha, one funny sidenote: I even found one die hard Celta Fan here in Düsseldorf.... but apparently he also got some spanish roots...

First problem is not too many people know english and/or Spanish,in Turkey 1000s of people love Dep. and some Turkish football channels gives Dep.matches (but not live )
The second problem is ,this forum has kinda hard to find i spent near 30 mins to find that site.(also im skilled at web searching )
The most important problem is about the clubs itself.Deportivo must have better media relations.
No matter 100/1 people here in forums 100/99 still love Deportivo...
And i think most of the people dont like forums like i do

How to convince ppl to take a serious look on Depor (and perhaps fall in love with) in 45 + 90 minutes:

First show them the second half of our Champions League match
Deportivo La Coruña 4–3 Paris Saint Germain from 2001
and after that show them our Milan clashing...

...and then tell them that Depor is doing like this again and again and again...
(at least thats what real fans believe in...)
...and they will come...

Well, here in Latin America must be lots of Debor Fans, Espn an Espn 2 usually shows like 15 Depor games Per seasson. That's gotta mean something, don't you think?

They always shows the Barca and Real games, and then Valencia, Deportivo, Villa real (Argentinians Loves them) and osasuna (For Mexicans; the ex coach, aguirre).

Here in Guatemala I only known one of my mom's cousins that is a REALLY die hard fan. I remmember when he found out that he has a nephew (me) that was also a deportivo suporter. He was very exited, now everytime we see us we only talk about Depor. Lol

I also known two other Guatemaleans in an internet Forum that are also Depor fans, and the only Hondurean guy I know is also a Depor Fan.

There are several Depor fans I know of here in NY, thou I don't see them much anymore at the club watching the games. I see more Barca and Madrid fans here than anything

in slovenia, there are very few depor fans, you gut masses of barca fans, a lot of real fans, a few sociedad, villareal and maybe valencia, many people cheer for english and italian clubs, and you got your batch of funny bayern fans

Everybody I know in France knows Deportivo due to our "excellent" performances against Monaco and Marseille
