I dont like Lotina. Just look how hes teams are playing. The same boring style that we have since Capparos came. NO, I want Marcelinho.

I would like to see Lotina, he always seems to have the opponent studied very well and is an experienced LaLiga coach. While you could argue that his teams don't play "Brazilian offense"-football, they at least always have a system in place, unlike some coach from Utrera, for example.
Furthermore, I always liked him because character-wise he seems to be a nice guy and gentleman, a bit like Irureta. I've never heard players complaining about him.
And - if he could bring Xabi Prieto with him - then this should be a no-brainer.

On the other hand, I cannot really comment on the other candidates mentioned, because they and their characteristics are largely unknown to me.

Well, Caparrós won't go to Recreativo who now have Víctor Muñoz as their prima candidate. Also, Caparrós has been mentioned at Bilbao with Irureta possibly as sporting director.

According to Radio Gallega Lotina is 'almost' the new coach of Depor. According to them, there are only a few small details (flecos in Spanish) in order to have an agreement.

They also talked with Marcelino in a live interview, as usual, Marcelino didn't give a club about his future.

Is everyone freaking out about the arrival of Lotina like I am? This guy has proven that he can't keep a job at a club for more than 3 years and has seen two of his clubs get relegated! Look:

1993-96: Numancia
1996-97: Logroñés
1997-98: Badajoz
1998-99: Numancia
1999-02: Osasuna
2002-04: Celta de Vigo (relegated)
2004-06: Espanyol
2006-: Real Sociedad (relegated)

He is disciplined, experienced and can make bad teams look good.

I would love to see him come, but I guess it is impossible...
