Fatigue played an important part for the world's two best players. The madness of CR7 and Messi playing every single Liga game in order to achieve the Pichichi has backfired spectacularly, as it was bound to do in such a long season. I'm not saying it was the only reason for the failures of RM and Barca, but the fact that both star players were running on empty gas tanks certainly contributed.

Chelsea's backs to wall attitude has to be admired a little. Having said that lady luck was definately on their side over the two legs. The funny thing is if Barca had defended better they probably would have progressed.

It reminds me of a quote from Bill Shankley after losing to Ajax in the 1967 European Cup.

''We cannae play these defensive continental sides!''

It's funny how bad RM is in defending, especially with Mou at the helm. But barca's defence is even worse; it's the worse of all great teams. The thing is however, that most of the time they dont need a defence, that's why they can afford it.

I'm going to enjoy the final. But I think, unfortunately, there is nothing to do with cards. The price starts from 1000 € and I consider it too expensive.

Which team will you support?

It's been a pretty good first half. I can totally see Bayern missing a dozen good chances and Chelsea winning 0-1 on their only one, a counterattack.
