Chelsea surpassed so many disadvantages, that after some moment it was obvious they were the ones to win this.

When Drogba scored, (Rack, nobody defending the post!) it definitely seemed like a done deal. Robben has failed twice from the penalty spot in critical games this year. It's funny how Chelsea did it with Mourinhoball, back to the future for them!
What are the odds of Di Matteo keeping his job, though?

First of all, how stupid was it to take Müller off for Van Buyten after Bayern scored? That's a sub that can only backfire. Bayern were in total control, and there were only 10 minutes left, including injury time. The extra attacker would've relieved pressure off of Bayern's defense. Bayern would've had more chances on the counter. Now they were sending Chelsea the message to come over and attack. And of course, you know that IF it becomes 1-1, your formation will be screwed up in extra time.

Second, why the HELL did Robben take the penalty??? You NEVER let a Dutchman take a crucial penalty. Despite being very involved in the play, nothing he did today seemed to work. His only move was cut inside, and attempt to shoot the ball towards the far post. I'm pretty sure he tried this over 10 times. He clearly wasn't having his day, and on top of that, Robben is a choker. I just can't get my head around it. The only worse option for taking that penalty probably would've been Van Buyten.

And finally, I have no problems with Chelsea winning this cup the way they did. Of course Barca and Bayern deserved a lot more, but that's football for you. Still, I'm absolutely gutted right now. Simply devastating to lose the Champions League final in your own home like this. Poor Schweini...

That's one of those moments when you're just glad it isn't your own team.

And by the way, why did Tottenham get relegated to the Europa League? I remember a few years back when England was allowed to send 5 teams to the Champions League, when Liverpool won the trophy without finishing top 4 in the Premier League.

They let themselves down with poor finishing and while Chelsea will get criticised for a defensive approach, Bayern did exactly that themselves as soon as they got in front. And lets be honest, Chelsea had a big heap of luck again but can't put it all down to that lol.

I really don't have anything against Chelsea winning the CL. They seemed so much like the underdog, that I can't help but feel happy for them. They beat Barcelona, and Bayern at the Allianz Arena, despite being vastly inferior to both these teams.

I'm not even that big of a Bayern fan myself, because I can't stand Robben and Ribéry. But it's simply terrible for their fans, and the look on Schweinsteiger's face was heartbreaking. I almost even felt sorry for Robben. But then I remembered he's Dutch
