World Football For other football that's not related to Depor. For example: the Primera División, Segunda División A, Segunda División B, the Champions League, EURO 2008, the World Cup 2010, Italy, England, Germany, Turkey etc. |

![]() It's still kinda surprising to see how vulnerable Germany is at the back in this tournament. Might be more costly in the next round(s).

Yes, I think they are vulnerable to speed on the wings (good sub by the Greek coach at HT). Badstuber has his moments too. Still, if they keep scoring like this, doesn't matter so much. |

![]() Really? I find that strange.
Spain dominate games, don't let the opposition have the ball, don't even play with a forward ![]() Strange indeed !!

![]() Imo Spain played brilliantly tonight. Technically it was perfect, the way they put pressure was amazing. I didn't see the entire game though, but what I saw was great.
On the other hand, I have to agree with Adi as well. Despite the fact that Spain executed their tactical plan to perfection, excitement was lacking. I couldn't stay awake during the game, although that may have something to do with the fact that I was up all night, studying. It's still hilarious how the Spanish goals keep eluding me. I fell asleep just a few minutes before the opening goal, and then I fell asleep again halfway through the second half. What baffles me the most is that the noisy commentator woke me up when Spain got the penalty, but somehow I managed to fall asleep again before they took it ![]() |

![]() I agree with Adi. Spain was definitely superior, but from time to time this game looked like France had completely no idea what to do, while Spain didn't put the pressure at all as the game looked like already won.
Germany are the best team so far IMO. I can't believe I'm saying it ![]() ![]() |

![]() I really hope Del Bosque will let Torres start against Portugal (since Llorrente is apparently out of the question). I think what they are doing when Fabregas is on is just not working very well (in terms of finding scoring opportunities). With a player like David Villa on it would work, because he can pass one of the opposition and score, but iniesta/silva/fabregas needs many more chances to do so. But there is no David Villa...
Without a striker on the pitch, noone is going to focus on scoring, just finding the right pass all game long. A strikers sole focus is getting into position to score, no one really seemed interested in that against France.. At least let Pedro/Navas play so they have someone other than Alba that is interested in actually running without the ball. I'm certain that if Torres and Navas/Pedro had played instead of Silva and Fabregas Spain would have scored more goals, since France held their defensive four so high when trying to pressure Spain. Deep through balls would have meant many many more chances. Needless to say I'm a bit disappointed in Spain so far, because i know they can do so much better. We have seen it on a few occasions, but we could see it so much more often, and that would be a lot more entertaining.. ![]() |
