Lightbulb Why not arrange a home match for us all to meet at La Riazor?

I'm sure if people in charge of this site, do it far enough in advance. Maybe they could receive a group ticket rate? Someone could
create a flag or banner while many people from this site could all sit
together????

Just a thought. Is there any chance of this really happening or
is it just a pipe dream?

There is an annual event called "Peña Day" where peña members are granted cheaper seats to a La Liga match and it's a good way to promote your Peña, but (clearly), due to our geographical distances we are unable to project a large turnout to these Peña days (if any turnout at all)

If i recall correctly, last years Peña Day was the 2nd match against Seville.

But I'm sure if this was planned as soon as the fixture list was produced, don't tell me that there wouldn't be 10, 20, or 50 people.

Thanks for the info about Pena day. I didn't know about it.

Well honestly, there would a minor turnout.

And Unlike the European members here, it does cost a fair bit to travel to and from Spain/A Coruna from Australia. I think Anton will iterate my opinion.

To be honest, it's probably nothing more than a pipe dream.

The club don't really make things easy anyway because they announce dates for things like Pena day or the Teresa Herrera really late, which obviously makes things harder to organise.

Xoan has posted about the Pena day as soon as he knew about it but as far as I know, we didn't get any takers. We've also had several posts about meeting up at various games but through one reason or another, there is never more than a handful that sound seriously interested and it's fairly common that only 1 or 2 of those seriously interested will get along to actually meet.

It's one of those things that goes down as an excellent idea in theory but in practice, it seems fairly hopeless.

Lots of the members are far away from Spain and lots more have either family ties that make it hard to just get away for 3/4 days or they are still in education/out of work and not able to afford such trips.

Anyone is free to organise a meeting between friends here though. The idea still remains a good one, it just needs a lot more willing participants.

Tickets for Villareal game cost from 20€ to 60€*more less. 10€ for kids.
The stadium capacity is 35.000 and its called "Riazor"

That's right! We also should all receive a blue and white striped car to drive in from Lendoiro, so we can promote Deportivo!

I might be prepared to join a thing like this, but not now! I need to make some money first, maybe one of the last games of the season, when we all know depor will win the primera!
