Default Player of the season (06/07)

What's your pick?

Mine's De Guzman, Coloccini coming in second, but that's probably because Colo is my idol

I left out Bodipo, Barragan and Iago and probably some others cause they didn't play much at all. If I forgot someone important, feel free to tell me

I think it's a hard one, Ariz is close, but his lack of goals puts it all down. So i'd say De Guzman in front of Estoyanoff.

Definitely Coloccini. He was one of the very few players always giving a fight and showing passion and his performances on the right back position were pure class. He also had some brilliant matches in defensive midfield in the beginning of the season.

I agree, but in the first round of the season he didn't play all that much. Neither did De Guzman of course. It was a hard call for me too

Hard race between Colo and de Guzman IMO
Aouate was really good as well, and I also like Duscher (the style) and Estoyanoff (the hard work)

De Guzman
Capdevila
Andrade

Sure, Colo has done remarkably well as right back these last couple of months - both in passion as well as actual skill - but he missed our entire unbeaten streak just after Christmas, and to call his games in centre midfield brilliant is stretching the truth a bit too much (which is the reason he isn't at cntre midfield anymore.

Aouate has made some blunders, he has also made some world-class plays, and all-in-all done a very good season, which as we all know is a rarity this year.

I said he had some brilliant perfomances there, which I do think is true. I can remember about 2-3 matches where he was pretty impressive, and I don't think I was the only one who thought so at the time.

I know he saved us in many matches but that's his job after all. Molina made at least as many good saves as him and didn't cost us more than 2-3 goals per season. Aouate can be world class one moment and a few minutes later he makes a stupid mistake, you never know with him. A goalkeeper should be reliable and I don't think he is.

I assume you mean Villareal and Zaragoza at home (can't help but to smile at the fact that you don't know how many games you remember ), where he indeed did pretty solid work, but the difference between that and "brilliant" is pretty big.
