Default Ex-Player topic: Mista (retired)

According to Marca, striker Mista (28) of Atlético will leave the club in December and his possible destination could be Murcia.

I think that IF we're going to sign a striker AND considering our financial circumstances, Mista will probably be the best we can get.

It's no shame that he hasn't played much this season with the presence of Forlán, Aguero, Simao, Luis Garcia, Reyes etc.

But with 188 Primera matches and 46 Primera goals behind his name he's the experienced (Spanish) striker knowing the Liga we might lack. He was topscorer in Spain in 2003/2004 and a Spanish international player.

Our most experienced striker if Bodipo with 103 Primera matches and 26 goals.

If we can manage to pay his salary, why not? He would be a quality addition...

Indeed. Mista has not shown anything the last 2 seasons and I doubt he will be able to raise his performance to top level again. I mean look at Tristan, how many of you would want him back (not saying the cases are equal, Mista had his peak later than Tristan, but you get the point)?

Mista doesn't want to leave Atletico. And, as mentioned in other threads, he played his 5th official match in Spain this Wednesday which means a move to another Spanish team is not possible anymore.

I think that he was the only Primera player on Depor's shortlist.

Me too. I hope he enjoys life on Atletico's bench. Rather see him there than on our bench.
