Default LIGA | Jan-13-2018 | matchday 19 | Depor 1v2 Valencia | Post Match Comments

Depor started well, pressing Valencia all over the pitch and looking like they had much more life and intensity in them than previous weeks. Borges had the best chance of the 1st half for Depor as he hit the bar but all the good work was undone in the 37th minute when Ruben let a Guedes shot from the edge of the area go between his hands. It was yet another goalkeeping error to haunt Depor this year and Valencia started to get on top after the mistake until halftime.

The 2nd half started with a rejuvenated Depor but again, the hard work was undone by an individual error as Albentosa got caught daydreaming on the ball and needlessly gave it away. There was a bit of luck in the goal as Rodrigo's shot was deflected but it shouldn't have even got to that stage as Albentosa should have got rid of the ball long before then.

To be fair, Depor's heads didn't drop and in the 88th minute they finally got their reward as a cross from Lucas found Adrian at the far post who volleyed across the six yard box and Andone reacted quickest to head the ball in/

There was even a chance for Depor to equalise as Lucas' chipped pass found Adrian onside but he somehow missed the target from just 4 yards out and the goal at his mercy.

Encouraging performance but disappointing result.

Get fu***** keeper and resign Albentosa.. These players are not worth and every chance they get is costing us points.. Ridiculous management and coaching. We are just for joking nothing else.

1- Ruben is a good keeper, but a top keeper cannot make such mistake in primera. These mistakes cost us points week in and week out
2- Albentosa had a solid game, until his silly mistake, but that mistake is not even made in amateur soccer
3- Watch the first goal, and see where guilherme is standing when Mina is running with the ball. Unbelievable!
4- Lucas is so nervous to do things right, that he misses everything he tries to do
5- Parallo is doing all the right things with what he has, but the players are failing him unfortunately!

i agree on lucas and its so sickening to see him so poor for so long. However he set up the goal and set up the chance that Adrian managed to miss late in the game. Its clear that Andone and Adrian are better than Lucas though.

I would switch mosquera and Guilherme. Let mosquera play deeper and guilherme play a little ahead. I would think this would be obvious but somehow last couple games guilherme played deeper than mosquera and he has been so lazy and nonchalant its so frustrating

Segunda is calling us. 7 home defeats so far and no protests from the fans. It's a slow and painful death.

they put Adrians miss as extra fun video on skysports.
We are with 1,5 leg in segunda and keep making the same mistakes week in week out

very disappointing result .. I cannot understand that professional footballers who has all the ability and physical conditions to do all this, to feed their family with this profession cannot even concentrate in 90 minutes and make such a mistake

It's good that not a lot of people talk about football in Canada otherwise everyone would have laugh at me ... (lots of message sending from my frineds tho )

I'm getting sick of getting the right result on the prediction ... what a joke

We are sad story. It will be difficult to save our asses this time. We need something or someone to pull us up otherwise the ship will sink pretty soon.
This is a great squad with just few expeptions and it is a shame what we are seeing.
Next game is disaster so I dont see us picking up some points soon...

Just to make things even worse we end the weekend at relegation.

I have taken a look into xG and xPts - parameters which could tell us about overall game quality. And we are the second underperforming team after Real Madrid - chances we created and allowed could bring us to the middle of table, but childish mistakes and bad luck led us into relegation.
