Default LA LIGA: 4/11 Deportivo 1- 1 Barcelona (Post Match)

1-1 is a good result. We didn't play very well in the beginning, but that changed. We played a superb second half and we scored a goal. We even had chances to win the match.

There wasn't penalty on when they scored and the same goes for our penalty, so there's nothing to complain about when it comes to that. Though Ronaldinho should've been sent off by a crazy tackle on Lopo. Luckily for Barca he only received a yellow.

Estoyanoff came in and did VERY good! He's IMO man of the match.

We're still undefeated on Riazor!

FORZA DEPOR!

We were much better in the second half and scored a deserved goal.
But I think if we catch Barca in their bad day, we have to be more sharpen upfront.

It seems like when our team is motivated we do very well, but in "other" games, such as them against Levante, Getafe and Mallorca away we're not motivated and play without creativity and pace.

This game from our side was full of creativity and pace when attacking. This is how it should be in every game, and I don't see any reason why we wouldn't play like this in our next away game.

And finally, how great wasn't Juanma!? I love that man!

Estoyanoff was brilliant.... he will be very valuable for the team later!... propably a place on the national squad in the future instead of u-21... Fair result i think

Default Deportivo v Barcelona (Post Match Comments) Nov 4 2006

1-1 and a game of 2 penalties that probably should not have been. Our young team did well and deserved at least the point, especially as we should probably have been playing against 10 men after Ronaldinho's terrible challenge on Lopo.

Juanma had a great comeback game IMO and Estoyanoff did very well when he came on too. Riki frustrates me loads because he doesn't look like he wants it enough and when he does get it, he goes to ground too easily.

Overall, I can't complain about the point because I thought we would get beat before kickoff but on reflection, we could have all 3

FORZA DEPOR!!!!!!!1

Estoyanoff should after this performance be a starter! He was so creative on the right flank. He dribbled and crossed like he'd never done anything else in his entire life. I love him!!

This game proved that Riki should be on the bench. At least til he starts delivering.

I loved our formation in the 2nd half. Please, for the next game:
Aouate
Arbeloa, Lopo, Juanma, Capdevila
Colo
Estoyanoff, J.R., Cristian
Adrián, Ariz

Valeron where are you??? Verdu cant handle this level yet. He missed many passes. We made a good game. Lolo was great, he must start on the right wing. Juanma is back!

ESTOYANOFF!! i said it before, i say it again. He's our most brilliant player. Christian the second one.
Riki is nowhere. I also wonder how Saviola managed to fall that deep?

We kindy SHOULD have won it in the end, but 1-1 is surely nice enough, but i won't mean anything if we'll lose the next game away again.

Dear Joaquín Caparrós, when will you finally accept that Estoyanoff is BETTER than Arizmendi??

It was a very good match from our side, especially Lopo, Juanma, Verdú and Cristian impressed me. The only disappointing player was (again) Riki. We need a real striker, Riki is rubbish alone, he's a second striker and as long as we play 4-2-3-1 there's no place for him.
And I really had to laugh when Lopo started to dribble like Ronaldinho

It's clear that we don't create much with the 4-2-3-1 system (without Valeron). Caparros made some good changes when Verdu took over the pivote from Sergio. Estoyanoff is great! Christian too, but he loves the ball too much. He still has to learn to choose the right moments for a dribble..

I think my man of the match is Lopo, he never gets nervous and also showed some really hot skills with the ball...

And what a great player Iniesta is!

I agree with you who says Riki disappointed. He lost so many balls(yeh you know what I mean )and that's not acceptable if you want to be a starter for our team. Especially not when we've got players like Estoyanoff on the bench.
