Default Deportivo 0 - Espanyol 0 (Post-match comments)

Looking at the bright side: we dominated, created chances, and are unbeaten now in 5 matches....

Another good aspect it that we now enter a period of (relatively) easier matches. Between now and early March there's the opportunity to get into the Semi-Finals of the Copa by beating Valladolid from the Segunda. In the Liga we have some 'weak' teams visiting Riazor (Mallorca, Levante, Betis) while two of our away opponents (Villarreal, Real Sociedad) rarely impress. And I think we could be in for a surprise next week at Zaragoza.

we have a ton of secondary strikers, but not a finisher, and thats the truth, i still think we need to bring someone in

So we have half of the season...and we have 10 points low as it was at the same time last year...what the hell is going on with that team!? Last year we had 0:0 only against Sevilla. At half of this season it was 0:0 against four teams: Mallorca, Gimnastic, Racing and now Espanyol...

as the postive - still unbeaten in 2007

The fact that we need a finisher cannot be denied, we had countless opportunities with no result. Arizmendi is getting better but he's still not at that point. Riki should be playing better for what the club paid for him. Dissapointing draw which should have easily been a victory for depor.

But let's be optimistic, undefeated in the new year and a good way to end the 1st half of the season. We begin the second half at Zaragoza next week without Riki and Capdevila. Let's see what Capa does with the lineup

am worried about mallorca cause if they win against real will be again the 14...let's hope they at least draw (21)

the important think we haven't been beaten yet ....and we hope that forever

Second half Espanyol also started to play and the match went in high pace up and down.

Depor has been very unlucky with the two "goals". One goal wasn't seen by the referee and the second was cancelled for offside. IMO Arizmendi wasn't and he really finished great this time(I saw Makaay)!!! Damn I was so happy he had compensated his missed chance, but we were out of luck this time!

In the second half we were lucky Tamudo hit the post when De la Peña proved he still is one of the best passers. Also Depor had a very good opportunity in the last minute of the game, Riki's shot was blocked by a defender.

Especially the first half was very good, but if we don't score it's useless. Another cleen sheet is the positive news. It's good to see that Caparros now has his starting eleven.
