And Borges played 2 games in the international break, so he's likely to be on the bench. Unfortunate that the Basques have zero points so far. They'll be up for this game and I think Williams will rip Navarro apart down the left flank. If Sidnei is out, Aduriz will be even more dangerous from crosses. Hope I eat my words, but I sense a defeat here.

Sidnei should be fine, he said its a precaution. Borges didn't play much in the beggining of the season, so I hope he will be able to help - knowing that our next game is in 8 days he should be fine. Gama is a question, he will be missed - especially since Marlos probably isn't fit for the whole game.

Let's go with this lineup:
-------------Lux----------------
Juanfran-Albentosa-Sidnei-Navarro
-------Borges----Mosquera-------
---Colak-------Fajr----Gama(Luisinho)---
-------------Andone--------------

I think we should have at least one winger in the team, so if Gama is missing and Moreno isn't fit its a choice between Luisinho and Valle. (Gil is another attacking midfielder playing at the side so not an option). Since we will have problems on the flank defensivly Luisinho is a logical choice, though Garitano will want to play a 3-5-2 in this case, so probably bench Colak for an attacker. He could opt for an offensive triangle with Andone upfront, Fajr and Colak behind him.
But for me I would prefer a solid 4-2-3-1 without experiment.

I will say this

This coach will bring us points but not performance and entertainment. So I might expect a pooring game with trying to make a lot of crosses ( though until now we didn't master crossings). We might draw or lose but not win.

For me, the line up and the formation is a joke for a team that has a powerful squad capable of doing a lot this season even without Lucas.

a game that 3 points is a must as Athletic is not in a good shape and unable to find momentum ...

I personally do not like the 3-5-2 or 5-3-2 when we play at home against the team that shares the fair chance of winning as we do (unlike Barcelona and Real Madrid)

I would prefer 4-4-2 (diamond with 3 attacking midfielders or 2 CM 2 Wingers)
Lux
Juanfran - Sidnei - Albentosa -Luisinho
Mosquera
Colak - Fajr - Gil (3 Attacking midfielders who can perform as Wingers)
Joselu - Andone

the coach want to play vs Athletic style, to prevent crosses & have 3 CB's to stop Aduriz from scoring, i'm not optimistic but let see tomorrow

We must use Bilbao bad momment and try to get another 3 points.. And enjoy looking at bottom of the table - with Celta and Valencia both having 0-0-3..
