Default Steven Gerrard (Liverpool)

Arguably Gerard Houllier is one of the worst coaches in the Premiership. At least his squad has had very many difficulties and it seems likely that he could be sacked in the end of the season.

From a reliable source I can say that Steven commented on the Houllier situation that he'll leave the club if the coach is forced to leave. I was kind of surprised because he is very loyal to the club. Kind of a Valerón-type of personality. And he means what he says.

Are there any better defensive midfielders for his age?

I would love to see him here. He'll provide us with some muscle and clever passes after Mauro's gone but this is just a wishful thinking. We'll never afford his salary.....

Yees, And I think he'll be too expensive....
Even if Liverpool has played poorly doesn't mean
that he won't cost much...

I don't think he would be to expensive, after all, he's not playing very well the last two seasons!

Gerrard is Liverpool through and through. He was given the captaincy this year, so can't see him leaving for a while. However, if Liverpool were to miss out on a champion's league place and he did leave, he certainly wouldn't go to one of Liverpool's premiership rivals. Perhaps speak to somebody at Easyjet, to start direct flights from A Coruna to Liverpool and you might tempt him!

the question is how much we would like to pay,to get a first-class defensive midfielder we want.
