Another Q: I've somehow got this picture that Mauro Silva has NEVER scored a single goal for Depor?!
Is this true?

Yeah thanks for the confidence Olli .
I cannot give the correct numbers but the two players who earn the most are Fran and Mauro Silva. They are eraning a little bit more than 3 million € each plus the "primas" at the end of the season. Munitis, as a free agent, was also able to negotiate a good contract.
And another fact: in 2002-2003, Depor spent in "salaries" aprox. 43 million, ten of which were for Fran, Mauro and Naybet. Season 2003-2004 had more or less the same numbers but 2005-2006, they will go down since Mauro, Fran and Naybet won't be with the team, people like Hector have accepted to see his salary lowered and Depor is selling its "clase media" (medium wage earners): Cesar, Victor... Guess Molina will be then the "champion of the wages"

Very interesting as I always thought that Valeron, Tristan and Luque were the top earners at the club.

Cheers Zepp!!

Depor have 1 league title (2000), 2 spanish cups (1995,2002), 3 spanish super cups (1995,2000,2002) - (winner of cup v winner of league). First participation was 2000/01 when it started I think?
And yes last year was their biggest European success.

Our one and only la liga title came in 2000 which meant that we also qualified for the Champions League for the first time ever too.

The semi-final last year against Porto was the furthest we had ever got in the CL and we also got to the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup too when we lost 1-0 home and away to Paris St Germain in 1996.

EDITED TO CURSE AT FELIUK for beating me to it while I was typing .

Guys, could aomebody translate it for me from canaldeportivo??

My Spanish isnt very good but from what I can understand it looks like Molina had to stop training today because of some kind of injury to his left leg.(I think it might be a muscle injury if the abducter is a muscle)

I dont think it says how long he will be out but it doesnt look good for him

Molina abandoned this morning trainning for a muscular problem.

Bad luck for José Molina. He has showed a positive recovery from his back problems, but the international goalkeeper had to abandon today's trainnig at Abegondo city due to a muscular problem in his left leg.
