Default Eddie Johnson (FC Dallas)

He's becoming one of the top players in the MLS (American League) and is dominating games during World Cup Qualifying. Not only will Depor get a good young forward but it will expand Depor's exposure across the world. As you saw with Beasley and PSV a fairly cheap signing (3 mil) is a bargain for a player that can contribute in Europe. Lendoiro come across the sea and come see this kid, he's a rising star.

Have not heard of him, but good players are always welcome, as is extra revenue from shirt sales.

The only problem is he is not a EU player, which could b a problem as Depor are already near their limit!

I'd like to see Eddie Gaven, Eddie Pope and of course Freddy Adu...

Johnson is good and young. He could be another Beasley.
There's that other MLS forward who scored two against Fulham as a substitute recently...I think his name is Jeff Cunningham. He looks good, and he's really fast. He's also built like a cornerback in American football.

Agreed but Cunningham is old. Johnson is only 21. I also agree with Gaven, i think the U-20 World Championships hurt his stock a little but playing next to Youri Djorkaef should make him a hot prospect soon.

Johnson is good but not ready for European football. The test for him will be next summer. If he continues to get capped this year , then has a good World Cup, then he will be ready for Europe and should surely get picked up.

Being a typical American footie fan, I barely pay attention to the MLS. How old is Cunningham?

All american players want to end up playing in the EPL. I suppose it's because of the language barrier. However aug 23 vs Real Madrid will show a lot of european teams if these young americans can compete with the top. If they do, I wouldn't be surprised if more americans make the trip oversees.
