Default Turkey FIFA Punishment!!!

Our Turkish friends have been given one of the toughest ever punishments for the after match incidents against Switzerland

-Turkey have to play the next 6 games behind closed doors at a neutral ground 300 miles away.(away from what!!!)
-Emre and Alpay six game ban
-Assistant coach Mehmet Ozdilek has been banned from ALL football for a year.
-Striker Serkan Balci banned for 2 games
-Turkish FA fined £100,000
-Swiss defender Benjamin Huggel banned for six games.

WOW!!!!!!

If the Spanish F.A. take their heads out of their asses for long enough, they might want to have a look at this.

Rather strict but it definitely could be worse.

At the same time I'm happy Turkish team wasn't banned from participating in EURO2008 qualifying stage.

I love Turkey and your national team but I hardly believe that fight was caused by Swiss players.

300 miles away from Turkey perhaps??
Do you seriously consider the ban of the Swiss defender as another penalty for 'our turkish friends'?
No matter what, the penalty is absolutely justified, if players and trainers start beating the other team on the pitch, because they lost their game, I could very well also imagine banning just the participating people for LIFE, just to mark a signal....and to send them searching for a new career in the WWE or WCW where they probably might become superstars...

This is all the fault of the Turkish FA and of the trainer Fatih Terim who couldn't controll the players. If the national anthem was booed in Switserland, they could have done the same in Turkey. But what's the point of acting crazy directly after the game?? For instance, defender Alpay didn't play for Turkey untill new coach Terim arrived. Probably he had a urgent feeling to show how "devoted" he was. The same goes for Emre. Why didn't they show how devoted they were on the pitch instead fighting?? That day i was furious. First of all Turkey lost and the players made a disgrace for Turkey. Because some of those players forget that they are representing Turkey. I think the Turkish FA should ban Alpay for life and cut both his legs of just to make things sure :P
