Andrade's red card was for kicking Deco - friendly - in the ass.
Thank you very much
No i think he punchend him with his hand on the back of his head.
But it was a friendly punch and i remember how he said to the refery he is my friend.
I don t know if this friendship was broken after this. But it was a strange szene of the stupid Deco.

There are highlights in other thread: http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/f...?t=7941&page=2

2004/04/21. Porto 0 - Deportivo 0. SF, 1st leg.
Depor fans at the stadium of Porto for the CL semifinal:

HIGHLIGHTS: http://www.dailymotion.com/video/xxt...t#.UaFRX9JFV2A
The ref was crucial in the eliminatory, allowing Porto's tough game, showing a yellow card to Mauro Silva and a completely absurd red card to Andrade, for a friendly kick to his ex-companion Deco. He's my friend! said Andrade to the ref... Because of that, Mauro and Andrade couldn't play the 2nd leg, very important casualties...

2004/05/04. Deportivo 0 - Porto 1. SF, 2nd leg. Mourinho anti-football tactics won.

I think JA made a simple fault on Deco, who fell to the ground, JA went there for a friendly, kindly, kiddingly kick in his ass of Deco, maybe they even laughed, and the idiot Merk red-carded JA, and sent the Translator's team to the CL final...

Yeah it was as Xose and Kalman said, there was no punch, just a friendly kick (more of a nudge with the foot to be honest).

Deco wasn't just a national team mate, he was regarded by Andrade as a good friend and he was really disappointed with his actions and wasn't happy about the original exaggeration. I think they made up a few years later and to be fair, I don't think Deco asked or expected a red card but their friendship was strained for a while afterwards.

I saw both games in porto and at home in my opion we where far to relaxed in this 2 game's more even when the game at porto ended in 0-0. Also the ref was against us to in that game lightly given penalty and that about andrade IMO deco did realy ask for a card when andrade did that i don't say he was asking for red but he did ask for it. Anyway I rember I was crying to after the game

The commentators here are actually saying Mauro Silva should've gotten a straight red card Don't remember the foul myself though. That said, the commentators in this clip do make the valid point that Depor played way too defensively that night.

In any case, we were robbed! We always are

Well, and dont forget the punch of a Porto player on Scaloni (or was it Victor? - I dont remember exactly)... I think it was Collina, who didnt sent the guy off.

Prilo is crying that the night when we beat Milan with 4-0, our players were using drugs lol

http://www.sportklub.rs/pirlo-o-lege...ili-na-drogama

The interview is on Serbian language.
He is saying that all of our players even the older ones were faster than Usain Bolt lol

Can't understand why Pirlo would say such things 10 years later. Did the Liverpool players eat drug-injected oranges at half-time in Istanbul too? That Milan team had a flaw, (misplaced) over-confidence of being better than they really were. Sad comments from a legend.

Yes, there was much talk in A Coruña last week about that surprising Pirlo's words. Nobody here take it serious, obviously, and can't understand why Pirlo say such a thing, and after 10 years. Whoever who saw the game knows that's rubbish. Milan lost because they came here extremely confident after the 4-1 in the 1st leg, and entered to play veeery relaaaxed. Just remember the goals, IMO the 3 first goals were gifts, big mistakes of Milan. The 1st, Pandiani in the front of the area, with 5 Milan players looking at him receiving the ball, controlling the ball, turning back and shotting to goal... alone. The 2nd, a cross from the left, with 8-9 Milan players inside the area, and Valerón headed to the net completely alone, after a terrible mistake of Dida. The 3rd, Molina kicks the ball away, Milan defenders failed hilariously... and Luque found himself alone in front of Dida. 3-0 in 45 minutes, eliminatory lost at the HT, and 34,000 crazy people shouting in the stands. That was what gave wings to Depor players and to the fans, and helped them to reach the ecstasy, and not any doping.

One thing it's clear: after 10 years, Pirlo still remembering us, and still having nightmares with that game...

A lot of players answered him, Fran, Scaloni, Pandiani (who even challenged Pirlo to repeat the eliminatory (the 2 legs!) with the same players), Valerón, and even the coach, Irureta. Among all the reactions, I'd remark the answers of Victor and specially Manuel Pablo:

Víctor Sánchez del A ‏@Victor_SDA
@Pirlo_official Deportivo de la Coruña (fans, club and players) deserve your apologies.Be so Humble as big footballer you are. RESPECT.

@Pirlo_official if you have "nasty thoughts" I recommend to you clean them watching again the match.you'll find the humility you have lost.

Manuel Pablo. No words, just a picture:
