During the 1st leg of the Supacopa against Real Madrid at the Riazor on 24th August 1995. Can anybody tell me why our players wore yellow ribbons on their shirts. Thanks in advance

Thanks Kalman.

Btw, the host of the programme had a decent career playing for Preston North End, Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester City, Liverpool and Osasuna, before entering the media in Spain. I believe he was diognosed with cancer at the end of last year.

For me the highlight of his playing career was the pass in last minute to ''And Smith Must Score" in the 1983 FA Cup Final. The match was 2-2 going into that final pass. For me, that was Brighton's Djukic moment. Sorry for being off topic, but I hope he recovers from the big C.

Cheers Kalman. Hope I can get to see it.
And all the best to Mick Robinson with his battle. Very underrated for the Irish national team, but a player I admired hugely.

@Miles: I still remember that final like it was yesterday. The horrible pitch, Wilkins scoring a wonder goal with the one time in a hundred that he played the ball forward and not sideways or backwards, the Subbuteo-like shirts (the classic Red v Blue, with no names or sponsorship on them), Robinson bouncing Kevin Moran off the ground before making the pass (and Moran was tough!). Great memories. I was sick they didn't win it the first day.

Unfortunately, Viewin has blocked it on copyright grounds.

It was blocked, try this link,

This clip is only 15 minutes long, I'm under the impression that the programme is in a much longer format. I'm guessing more will be released later.

Nice to see the clip of the players training at Centro Deportivo La Torre. Was this the main base for training before Abegondo?
