Ohh... how sweet are these days....
How fed up must be Roy Makaay right now...

Last summer he thought: "I can only win the CL with a really big team, like Bayern München" - and now, his former team, in the first year after him, this team he didn't like playing for anymore, beat the finalists of last year and is in the semi-final.... YES! YES! YES!

Tell me Mr. Makaay - where is your Bayern? Lost to a pathetic Real Madrid in the 1/8-finals, and won't even win the national championships!!!

Revenge can be soooooo sweet!!!

No, why should makaay want to be in a club that doesnt respect him.
believe me i think he really wants to be where he is now: at Bayern.
dont get me wrong. i love depor till death
but u must admit that depor didnt respect roy makaay as much as he deserved.
and now he is doing hell good

I agree with Juli, he didn't go to Munich because of glory but because he felt Lendoiro should have awarded him with a better contract time ago. This season Lendoiro decided to renew Valeron and gave him more money because he was playing way over his wages; had he made a good offer to Makaay after winning the Liga and he would be happy to finish his career as a Depor player.
But maybe this way was the best for all. He got more money than we could give him and he got more recognition playing for Bayern than he would have made playing here where he would be another Henrik Larsson, a scoring machine in a "second level" team. And, on the other hand, Depor got some nice euros and one gap in the attacking system waiting for Pandiani.

Well... all I can recall are the statements of Makaay in the German press when he came to Munich - and it sounded all like "I want to go to a really professional club- I always wanted to be in an elite European club - I want to win the CL"... And - they bought him to win them the CL.... Well, doesn't work that easy, this masterplan

Ok, maybe Roy doesn't want to be part of Depor but I'm sure people have asked him about Depor(what might have made him really fed up), especially after we crashed Milan.

No, he was all happy about our win. It's normal that after so much time in one club and the success you achieve with it, that you're happy if they do well. Especially a nice person like Makaay.

Roy Makaay told the press he wants to finish his career in Bayern. He's ready to continue playing at this level till 35 or 36 years old.
Makaay played 53 matches for Munich and scored 40 goals. His current contract expires in 2 years.

Default Makaay

I heard an interwiew with Makaay yesterday and he spoke abaout La Coruna. Something with that, Lendoiro had promissed a lot of things to Makaay that he didn't gave him. So it sound like he wasn't happy with Lendoiro. That was on of the reasons, why he left to Bayern and of course also because of the money.
