Default Referee Crisis in La Liga?

Lately there have been many controversies surrounding referee decisions. For example almost every Barcelona game, the Madrid game against Celta and Espanyol where the ref denies blowing the whistle yet it is clearly heard before the goal is scored. Some people say the referees favor Barca. It seems these issues are only becoming largely controvercial in La Liga. Are we overreacting and not allowing the referees to make human mistakes? or is there some suspicious play going on??

No, there's no crisis. It's always been like that. And if you say it's now worse, then you're just forgetful about how bad it was before. Refereeing is on a constant level.

Villar is favouring Barca but referees are just incompetent.

You have to admit that Barca are getting many lucky breaks with penalties. The one against Malaga was definitely non existent..

Constantly bad level...

To err is human, to ref isn't!!!

Would help if players had any sense of fairplay, Ronaldinho won that penalty with a bit of skill and a lot of acting.

One season there was everything going in favour of Madrid. Last season and this season everything appears to go in favour of Barca. There are some lucky/unlucky ones among small teams too but they go unnoticed. Sometimes the refs give you, sometimes they take.

Spanish referees suck, always have always will. Madrid is the team of Satan and Barça wish to take their place!

You want to give them sense of fairplay? What about suspending Ronaldinho for 3 or 4 games? That would bring him sense of fairplay

I've just seen another dreadful decsion, Luccin won the ball quite clearly but Riquelme went down as if he'd been shot, so the ref got a yellow out (Luccin's second) and he is off.

The players have a big part to play in most of the decsions and some of there actions are disgraceful...........

DEFINITELY!!!!!!

If it's possible to look at video replays after a game to punish people for other things that went unpunished, then why can't we punish people for cheating too??

I can't see why any football league in the world would be against making life easier for referees and ensuring a much fairer playing field for everyone concerned.

However, logic and football don't always sit well together.

u think theres a crisis?

look @ Aussie referees there the worst! trust me!

--

but as for spanish? there is no crisis in england and italy refs are just as bad! look at the imfamous pires penalty - that actually should have been retaken!! no one here seems to have picked that fact up - Cruyf did that already! and its legal! the penalty should have been retaken as 1 he didnt touch it or 2 if he did there was not a full rotation of the ball!

anyway... its bad all over the world but they do their best!
