I highly appriciate your optimism, but I am rather pessimistic... I don't believe in him. That is true, that the duo Andrade - Colo can stabilize our defence, but what then? What about the midfield? With Caparros formation it is not effective - as all of us could see it on the previous matches.
Altought these players are still young, they are unable to fight for an european spot, because they haven't got enough potential to do it. Our only hope can be Valeron's comeback. I hope he can bring courage to the team...

it is not accidental that Verdú and Cristian played in tercera, and Arbeloa in the segunda, until their 23. They are not too much talented, nothing special. Arbeloa has good physics. Anyhow I see these guys that are capable to play something above the relegation zone.
We are just there now.
The same for Aouate, Juanma (played for years against relegation in Racing), J. ROdriguez (played in Malaga, relegated this summer), Riki (played quite a lot in Castilla, Segunda), Bodipo (played in Alaves, relegated this summer), Estoyanoff (played in Cadiz, relegated this summer.) There is nothing new for these guys... Although Aouate was said, when contracted, he will play in Europe, or at least for liga places reaching Europe.

Lolo is a regular in the Uruguayan national team.. whenever he has played he has done very well IMO.. Verdu and Cristian has not played in Tercera.. they were in Segunda B with Barca B. Juan Rodriguez was possibly the best player for Malaga ever since he has started playing for them according to many people who has seen them..
For Riki and Arbeloa, they have been playing in the Castilla from where after Casillas no player has been able to make it to their first team because of over-booking.. however, Arbeloa has played in all the spain's inferior categories.. If u r trying to spot players who has played for a relegated team you must pick valeron, molina and capdevilla.. they have all played for atletico madrid when they got relegated.. i'm not saying that Verdu and Cristian are world beaters, but if given time they will show their quality.. and verdu has been playing in a pos. where he has not played in the past few yrs.. to make it to the Barca 'A' tema their junior players must not be just gud but grt.
and take for example Getafe... how many grt players they have? and wht abt Recreativo? so pls stop analysing players based on for which club they have played alone..

We rarely ever buy stars, the only times we paid big money were for Luque, Sergio, Andrade and Duscher and that was when the transfer market was sky high. Before them we generally bought quality players from teams that had been relegated or bottom half of the table e.g. Valeron, Capdevila & Molina from Atletico, Makaay & Emerson from Tenerife, Victor and Jaime from Racing, all players who served us well and brought us glory. Now Capa and Lendoiro have gambled on inexperienced youth from Segunda B. I understand the need to refresh the squad and that money is tight, but instead of signing 15 cheap players sign 6 or 7 players who are a bit more expensive but with experience.

Lendoiro isn't helping matters but after what he has done for the club these years it's understandable that he doesn't want to let go. It's his baby after all. He's tried to start money raising initiatives, none of which have really taken off.

Let's hope Amancio Ortega makes a bid and takes us back to where we belong.

Capa has to go.

To myfavdepo: Yes Valeron, Capdevila, and Molina were relegated with ATMA six years ago, and all of them showd 6 years of top quality football. Our new signings were relegated this year. And all of them have shown 2 months bad, but effective, and one month disastrous football...
Sorry I call tercera, the segunda b, as it is the 3rd line.
To be the best in a relegated Malaga team? Maybe J. Rodriguez is the best in a ... Depor team this season.
Arbeloa produced some mistakes, maybe he will learn as a defender, Lolo was good at the beginning, but went wrong. The main ? is about Verdú and Cristian. Not a good start, and then went down.
Riki was waste of money up-to-now.

We need some brazilian players on the team, I saw the Internacional-Barca
match, and I think brazilian players are great. Sell all the incompetent youngsters Depor has recently acquired, they are not showing any quality. Loosing some games 1-0 or even 2-0 is probably acceptable, but not scoring any goals in 7 games is a shame. Please Caparros go away!!

Irureta has resigned. He has said that Betis needs a new coach and has cancelled his contract. In other words, he doesn't wants to receive a payment as compensation. Maybe is time to see his return.
