![]() I'm a bit pissed of about our result today, it was great atmosphere but our first half showing was pathetic. In the second half we created loads of chances but so did Belarus and how it finished 0-1 I don't know. I didn't even get that drunk. When were expected to win it doesn't quite happen but against the better sides we seem to produce much better performances
![]() The amount of Celtic tops among the Ireland support is shameful, so come on Cyprus for the second half. |

![]() I had a bumper day of football today.
First on the menu was Uzbekistan v Bahrain but I decided after watching about 5 mins that I'd prefer to go online instead ![]() Next came N.Ireland v Wales and this match was a cracker. Wales took a 2-0 lead and then missed a penalty all before half-time but N.Ireland came out for the second half all fired up and it was soon 2-2. Wales then scored the winner through a Ryan Giggs free kick. I then watched the end of the Scotland v Belarus game and thought of a certain someone crying "crocodile tears". Next on the menu was England v Austria and I have to say, I thought England were crap. Beckhams red card was a bit harsh but quite amusing at the same time and England hung on for a 1-0 win. I caught the last 2 mins of normal time and then the 5 mins of injury time in the Cameroon v Eygpt game and it was highly entertaining. It looked as if Etoo was going to take the penalty but he seemed to bottle it and walked away for Wome to step up and miss instead. I normally would have chuckled at the thought of one of the "bigger" teams missing out like that but it reminded me too much of Djukic's miss v Valencia when Bebeto also appeared to bottle it. I was then forced to take a break from football because the kids wanted to watch a shark programme but after that was over, I switched over to Eurosport to catch the second half of Belgium v Spain. Torres took his first goal excellently although I thought he nearly fluffed the second. Great work by Reyes when he came on. Finally finished the day off with the second half of Tunisia v Morocco and that too was quite entertaining. There was a strange own goal which would eventually hand qualification to Tunisia but I'm still not sure how it went in. The whole coverage (TV5) was a bit weird though as they never confirmed any subs or cards. There was a few moments of confusion and I thought the incident where the defender was yellow carded for timewasting was hilarious. The ref seemed to mistake him for someone else and then after thinking he had already carded him, gave him the red. I think he realised the error and the Morroccan player stayed on but I was confused later when another Morroccan defender was adjudged to have elbowed a Tunisian player. The linesman flagged and after a consultation the ref showed a card to the defender which I presumed was red. The defender appeared to leave the field but I'm sure he came back on after a quick chat with the coach. If anyone wants to tell me what happened, I'd be grateful. Anyway, I'm all footballed out for today so I'm off.
