I think that you can't compare PS2 with XBOX. I used to have an Xbox. Some of my friends have Ps2 and... guys... there's a diference of quality. Just think that the games on the market for PS2 are the best that u can get from the sony console, but in Xbox the great great games are about to come.

If you have a Ps2 you dont want a Nintendo Game cube, but if you have a Xbox you dont want a Ps2.

The same happened with VHS and Betacam, the best one was the more expensive... and the crap system succeeds

For me the best of Xbox:
- Is not a console, its a computer made for gaming.
So, dont be afraid, its kinda HEAVY!!
- Hard disk to keep games that u rent, for example.
- Great quality even in crap little Tv's.
- Try to play GTA3 Vice City in PS2 and in Xbox ... you will see.

Default Microsoft Serious About Xbox 360 and HD

As this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) draws closer, more and more details regarding Microsoft’s Xbox successor come to light.

It seems that Microsoft is making a serious push for the “HD Era” that J Allard boasted of at this year’s Game Developers Conference. Several of our sources have told us that Microsoft has outlined very strict technical requirements when showcasing Xbox 360 titles at this year’s E3.

In order to fully demonstrate the visual prowess of the new console, Xbox 360 games will not be displayed on regular TVs, which means no SDTV or EDTV sets (although the console can utilize such technology), and it is mandatory that the displays used in the E3 demonstrations are HDTV-ready and not just HDTV compatible.

You should know that many of the flat panel screens that are sold as HD capable are only “HDTV Compatible”, which means they can display HDTV signals but they resize the image to the panel’s native resolution, which sometimes is lower than the minimum HDTV spec, 720p. Full HDTV Ready displays are those TVs that have a built-in HDTV tuner (ex: ATSC tuners for over-the-air HD reception, CableCARD™ slots for cable HDTV), DVI and HDMI inputs, and a panel with a 1920x1080 native resolution, which allows the TV to display any HDTV signal without having to compress the image.

Several sources have informed us that Microsoft is demanding that companies display Xbox 360 games at E3 on equipment with a minimum resolution of 720 physical lines. We have yet to learn if Microsoft is requiring any type of specific audio capabilities during demos, such as a Dolby Digital 5.1 system.

It looks like as far as Microsoft is concerned, the “HD Era” truly has begun.

I you really want to laugh at Microsoft you have to read visit the official www.xbox.com website. If you don't find anything strange there, try the next link.

https://replacements.webprogram.com/...amoverview.asp

The highlights:

Why are Xbox replacement power cords needed?
The replacement power cords are designed to protect consumers and their Xbox consoles from rare electrical component failures that can pose a fire hazard.

What am I supposed to do while I am waiting for my new cord to arrive?
Until your new cord arrives, you should turn off your Xbox when it is not attended.

Do I really need a new cord, or can I just use a surge protector?
Consumers should not expect that surge protectors or power strips are suitable substitutes for the replacement power cords being supplied by Microsoft.

What should I do with my old cord?
Please throw it away. (Note: If your country has local or national disposal regulations, please follow those requirements.)

Hope you guys stay cool and don't waste your money in the Crash-Box 360, but wait for PS3!!!
Haven't you heard from the thousands of complaints of Shit-Box 360 just ONE day after selling started in the US??

The crap appears to crash after only 30 minutes or when connecting to Suck-Box-Live (or whatever that online service is called...), Quake 4 plays with stuttering graphics, Collission detection in Madden NFL 06 is failing, Box crashes after playing just ONE round of Project Gotham Racing 3 ... these are just some examples of complaints that fill different forums already.... AFTER ONLY ONE DAY!!!!

Even Microsucks officials told press that the 'Problems are bigger then expected' and users with overheating boxes should prepare for 4-6 week replacement periods...

Here are some pics:
