the game is really good, especially if u havent played it before. Very addicting, Ive played FM 2005 for hours at a time. Trust me, the best simulation and most realistic. I'm not sure where you can download earlier versions, shud be out there somewhere... and the earlier CM versions you can;t see the circles(players) on the pitch, its just has words describing the play. Still good to see classic players. I strongly advise any gamers out there to get this game, if not try the demo n see for yourself.

I've played this one since 97!!! I'm just in a retro mood and want to see depor do la liga again!!!

As for 06..i've seen some reviews that say it is not as good as 05 etc... but whether that is a patch thing we'll wait and see...

HippyKid your talking about some oldschool championship manager I've never played. yea it would be great to have players like Raul,Fran,Luis Enrique, Rivaldo etc... in their prime.

Roncatto( pay minimun fee) and Ederson (pay 350k)... Brazilian's

Clark(250k) and Gaven(200k)... USA

Mokoena(500k) and Vilakazi(???)...South Africa

Etafia(pay 25k over list price)...Nigeria

Put two in first team and the other three in reserves all on "hot prospect contracts...

And if you ever have a lack of funds, try offering friendlies, % of sell on fee and stagger the payments over 24 months with minimum up front...

Or just add a new manager as madridiots, and get them to buy who you want to sell, repeat as often as necessary!!!

They should be the first names on the list...

Good picks, I wouldn't add another manager, it takes away from the fun of the game and makes it more challenging and realistic

I won la liga with depor, in the first season was closely run with Barca, the last game of the season was them at home to win it. I also reached the final of the uefa cup. In the second season I got some good signings for free, Cudicini, Fiore, Recoba, Cassano, Filipe etc.

In the first season I got Mokoena, Regueiro (player of the season) and Jesus Navas on loan. I just missed out on Robert Huth. I mostly played a 4-4-1-1, Depor's defence is pretty awesome.

Oh damn, missed this thread completely!!

I already jumped out again of playing it, after 1 week of playing time, got Depor the nice 136 000 spectators Arena it deserves, got Messi, Tevez and Podolski for our attack and swept with them through through all titles available...

...still waiting for a quantum leap regarding realism of 3D mode, the movements of individuals became really better this time and there are countless things that make this again better then last years edition and I love the overhauled Management screens, but its still some way till the 3D match looks like a Champions League TV transmission in HD ...

Waiting for it to come ...

Yea, what youre talking about Jorge would be really great but I don;t see it coming for another couple of years at least. The animation haven;t improved drastically from CM4-5 when it was first introduced(I think). I think the game wants the player to focus more on the aspects away from the pitch, managerial decisions. Tactics, keeping players happy, contracts, youth systems, training...etc. But 3D would be awesome!
