Segunda B:

Fortunately we won't have to play Celta "B" next season, after they lost against Cartagena FC.
The promotion playoff finals for the last 2 Segunda spots are:

Elche v Villarreal "B"
Extremadura v Cartagena

Segunda

HT at El Molinón, 0-2, Sporting virtually out, they would need 5 goals in the 2nd half and Valladolid not scoring more.
So it means that Zaragoza (3rd) and Sporting (4th), the 2 big favourites to get the promotion in the playoff, are both are out. No surprise at all. This is Segunda!

Extremadura-Cartagena will be a proper battle
For the other one, from what i have seen, i'm afraid Villa B is better to Elche. Elche is really bad, they are still relying on 50yr old Nino
It was him that entered as a sub at both the games vs Sporting B, and defined the tie.

Some good news from below
Our neighbors SD Compostela at the tercera play off final for promotion. Same for Castellon, that have an amazing support all season (they broke the record for more season tickets in tercera).
Also at tercera play off final, Unionistas de Salamanca, a club for football romantics

The draw for the promotion playoff finals (from Tercera to Segunda B) was celebrated this afternoon. The only Galician team who survived, SD Compostela, will face a team from Salamanca, not Unionistas but the other team, CF Salmantino UDS.

It's curious that the 2 teams from Salamanca, created after UD Salamanca were dissolved in 2013, are both in the playoff finals. Fortunately they won't have to play between them, though obviously they already competed in the same group of Tercera.

CF Salmantino UDS, let's say the "official" heir, keep playing at Helmántico stadium, they took the place of UD Salamanca "B" team in Tercera, but later the judge said it wasn't legal, that CF Salmantino was a club "of new creation", and so all CF Salmantino teams were relegated to the lowest category (Provincial) in 2015. Since then, consecutive promotions from Provincial to Regional and then to Tercera, so this could be their 3rd consecutive promotion.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CF_Salmantino

Unionistas de Salamanca CF, let's say the "non official" heir, created by supporters of UD Salamanca and managed democratically by the own fans (1 socio, 1 vote), following the model of other clubs like FC United of Manchester or AFC Wimbledon. They don't play at Helmántico, but in a small stadium close to it. They started in 2014/15 at Provincial, with consecutive promotions to Regional and Tercera. Last year they were 3rd in their group, but later eliminated in the playoff. It meant that this year for the first time we could see a derby between Unionistas and Salmantino, winning the latter both matches (1-0, 1-2), though it was Unionistas who finally won their group, and Salmantino could only be 4th.

So Valladolid in primera....except if Numancia pulls a Zaragoza at Girona, but i wouldn't given more than 1% for this.

Congrats to Valladolid's coach

Congrats to Sergio González, excellent work, and also to Borja Fernández and Míchel Herrero, both ex-Depor as well.

A pity for Saúl García (loaned to Numancia).

Elche with a good game this time, got the advantage 2-0 over Villarreal B. Nino with another top class goal.

Villarreal B deserved sth more, they were pretty good and even missed a penalty

Cartagena was very lucky to escape with a narrow 1-0 defeat at Extremadura.

RFEF decided the game to be played under full sun (18:30) at 37C, which must have felt like 45C

After 15 minutes Elche get the all important away goal. Barring a massive comeback from Villarreal the tie is done IMO

So Extremadura is the last team to enter segunda, after a dramatic 105' game vs Cartagena.

Since Elche surpassed Villa B, there will be no B squads this season at a highly competitive segunda division

Finally both teams from Salamanca (Salmantino and Unionistas) got the promotion to Segunda B.
SD Compostela was eliminated by Salmantino, though they had a good result away (1-1), but lost this afternoon 0-1 at home.
CD Castellon got the promotion to Segunda B too, with more than 15,000 fans at the stadium.

Looks like Cartagena tried to buy the 2nd match vs Extremadura, offering money to the coach and several players of the rival. Juan Sabas, coach of Extremadura, who had just arrived there recently for the last matches of the regular league, was offered 300,000€ and to be coach of Cartagena next season in Segunda if the Murcian team got the promotion:
