Right but all these will make the promotion party the last matchday much more enjoyable

While reading on the news that West Ham wants to get rid of Lucas, i was thinking of this:

4 years back, exactly, end of May, we were playing the last game of the season at Camp Nou. Tino F was still a new presi, hadn't convinced people so far but hope was there.

We had Victor, a member of super Depor leading the team...and we had Lucas...and at that game, everything glued so perfectly, Lucas scoring, getting the draw and staying in primera, Tino F emotional in the stands, Lucas hugging Victor, what a night, i don't think we felt that much hopeful the last years...

and then?? When it all went that wrong?

This is probably the biggest mystery of our time.

This is the worst phase of Depor I can remember. Some others might remember further back to darker days. There is no simple solution. This is a professional club wearing amateur clothes. A new President is needed who knows how to run a football club. Many heads need to roll....

There still is no club vision and until we establish that we cannot continue. We need a foreign investor to come in and fix this mess from top to bottom. I am not sure with the debt how much longer we can survive without Primera. We said we were going to give the youth a chance but Mujaid and Gandoy are both stuck with Fabril (who is also struggling). Unless a massive change occurs we are in trouble.

It's downward spiral where one get out very rarely.
No more big TV income, no longer decent outgoing transfer fees, even the audience will shrink if we sit bottom of segunda (or worse). There's no income anymore.

IMO Gandoy should be much more involved in the first team for sure.
Neither Gaku or Vicente have impressed in that central midfield role.

Mujaid looks to be a third or fourth choice centre back for us. But given confidence from Anquela, he could definitely become a better player, and potentially be developed into a DM.

Valin should be given a chance at right back considering how poor Simon & Boveda have been.

David Sanchez has it a bit harder, as he has Galan and Sasa ahead of him, for that position.

I feel that these guys would give so much effort if given the chances. The same sort of enthusiasm we see from Mollejo.

Give them a chance Anquela, I also want to see what Beto and Sasa Jovanovic can do!

Well, not everyone can learn from mistakes and has a vision.

Mallorca was an example of a "run-badly" club, almost bankrupted, went down to segunda b but afterwards with smart moves and spending less than Depor they manged to reach primera with the same coach and same core of players they had at segunda b.

I don't know if their "mind" is a sporting director or whoever, but they managed to do things right.

We need such types of minds, no money or investors imo.

Mallorca was taken over by a North American group when they were relegated to 2B. Even they were extremely luck to get promoted and I expect them to go right back down. Mallorca and Granada both brought in young players under 25 on loan as well as promoting 3-4 youth players to the first team. Granada is now sitting in a CL spot ( won't last but for now they're there) If we kept that philosophy we would still have Peru, Montero, and Mollejo but also have Gandoy, Mujaid, and Valin. We would not waste spots on guys like Longo/Kone, Jovanovic and we all know Gaku was only signed so we could have a share in the Japanese market because Gandoy is a similar player with a higher potential. Duarte, Mari, and Carlos F were that type of player last year as well so I am not sure why we got away from what was working.

like it or not, Deportivo is becoming less and less attractive for players... I blame CdP for that. on the other hand, that is why I am with American 123, that we should give more chance to local, Galician players. but our Fabril, does not really produce quality players, so I don't say CdP had a very easy task. but this is his job, he should have done it much better.
