Simple fact. We win in Riazor, we go to the final.

It's better hunting the win than trying to keep your sheet clean.

Thumbs down

Well that was not the result I was hoping for. I didn't follow the commentary thread, but I have to say both penalty calls were weak. Espanyol's was definitely a make up for the first call. Ruben was unlucky not to get a second. What was Coloccini thinking? That was a deserved red. And really poor defending led to the second Espanyol goal. I'll hope for the best next week, but we can't find the back of the next unless we get a gift penalty right now..........

Overall we did not deserve to lose this game.
Both penalties were not penalties
We should have been 3-0 up before they scored!!!!!!
and we didn't deserve to concede that last goal.
But that is football and we have to get on with it.

Not if we win 3-2.

Great result till the half time. The second half was misunderstanding. And why Pandiani?! Damn it! I have real doubts if we can win at home but I have to believe it. It's gonna be very difficult second leg.

It's simply ridiculous the way that we're losing control. It seemed to be an easy game, we had two clear chances in the begining of the second half and then Colo acted as a little child, red card, we lost control, we lost the game...

I'm very upset with this! Is there any Marseile ghost flying over this years deportivo?

Mallorca, Atletico and Espanyol scored 7 seven goals against Depor in 3 matches.

Well I remember there were times when Depor was able to keep a clean sheet. That seems to be impossible now!

Caparros should try to do something about the too many goals per match that we conceide.

Dissapointing result but before people start harping on about how unacceptable this is, please watch the match.

Yes we let in 2 goals but there's not much you can do about it when the referee gives such a poor decision and awards a penalty for nothing. (Ask Espanol, they know how it feels too).

To put it in perspective, the second goal came after we had struggled with 10 men for 30 mins and Español's heads were completely up after being outplayed for the first hour.

Sure it's still dissapointing but then again it's not too surprising either.

Ruben probably should have got more than the 1 goal but the effort that Iraizoz deflected with the inside of his leg was extremely unlucky.

To be fair to Tristan, I thought he was working harder than usual until we were down to 10 men and had to take off his strike partner. I think he got a bit dissillusioned with trying to hold the ball up when the back-up was so long in arriving.

I have to disagree with DSC about the red card too. At no point did Colo look at Jofre as he ran and jumped and he made contact with the ball as he watched it all the way. Yeah sure, it wasn't pretty and it was damn clumsy but I didn't see much intent from him and a red card was extremely harsh IMO.
Jofre didn't help matters by clutching his head and rolling around a few times either. A fact reinforced by the way he jumped up as soon as the red card came out and was fine enough to run over and start arguing with some of our players.
