Yeah, and that will be a boost for Fabril players.

A bad pitch could actually be in Depor's advantage, cause it will hinder Villarreal's offensive play If we keep the zero, we go to Europe.

Anyway, I'm hoping for a horrible game with zero chances and goals

God, what a boring tactical way of thinking, although I do agree at some point.

I wonder whether Juan Rodriguez will play again instead of one of our wingers. That would definitely help towards the goal to get an absolutely horrifying bad ending of the season on the pitch.

Exactly, Lotina would be stupid to play J Rodriguez in a home game where we need to get points out of and where a (hopefully) full riazor will expect a good performance to put an end to this season and celebrate the Intertoto. IMO play Lafita and Chippen and bring in Guardado and Valeron in the second half to top it off.

Isn't Valeron injured for this match? '
Bringing in Valeron AND Guardado sounds very nice though

Good news, it seems Nihat won't play the game. He will join inmediatly the Turkish team that will start to prepare the EURO.

Lotina confirmed today that Guardado will have some minutes on Sunday. He played yesterday in the tribute to Puerta and scored a goal.

As I wrote in the evolution-topic, Villarreal's current amount of 74 points is already better than the highest amount of Deportivo obtained under Irureta (1998-2005).

A few years ago comparisons started between Deportivo and Villarreal, but most of us quickly labelled them as premature. You can't compare a team with numerous prizes behind its name, a team which almost finished always among the first three between 1992 and 2004 and participated five times in a row in the CL with excellent performances, to a team with just one great Primera season, a Semi-Final in the Champions League and no prize won.

But this season's Primera achievement is something they should be very proud of. They are now showing that, again, they can play an important part in Spain. Let's see if they can continue that next year and can give performances in the Champions League three years after.

If it was for me, they can skip Sunday....

Great news, he's their most dangerous player IMO.
