Latest News

Last season, we were promoted to the Premiership for the first time, as we finished runners up to Lagerfield in Div 1. It's a huge jump in quality and even in normal circumstances, it would be a difficult job just staying up but we have the added problem this season of players needing replacing because their attributes are dropping due to age.

We've already had to replace* Hari, Martin, deporiginal and DK Blanquiazul and will need to replace* Riazor and Diligent at some point this season. We're not a rich club, so these transfers have hit us hard financially and we are sure to find this season as a bit of a struggle.

* the new player still keeps the same name but has different level stats. New players are generally poorer in terms of quality until theyve been training for a few seasons

The season started well with a 1-0 away win at Dynamo Valley as bake came off the bench to net the winner with just 13 mins left. Last night, we travelled to face one of the more established teams from this league and were beaten 3-0 by Galatasary. All the goals came within the first 35mins but we did OK in the 2nd half.

This year, the only aim is survival, so we're aiming for 12th and anything above that will be a bonus.

Positional Changes
Hari continues as an attecking left back, whilst deporiginal continues as a right sided striker.
Martin was an attacking right sided midfielder, whilst DK was an attacking left sided midfielder but both are not attacking midfielders that can play either side or in the middle. This gives us more flexibility with formations and with injuries.

We finished 8th in our first season in the Premiership and given the level of competition up here, that was a great result. This year however, things aren't going so well and we've yet to win a league game after the first 6 and are out of the Inter Conference Cup
We had to sell quite a few players as they were over the hill and deteriorating and now have a lack of experience amongst many of the squad. We currently sit 3rd from bottom and are 2 points from safety.

Season so far

As you can see, scoring seems to be a real problem but hopefully we'll be able to get some practice in today, as we face Universidad de Chile. We've played them every season and got well into double figures each time, so let's hope we can find our aim again.
Our record this year is the poorest start I've ever had in any team in any league.

The friendly with Universidad de Chile turned out to be a one sided affair as expected but we only just got double figures and only the 3 strikers who had already scored this season, managed to find the net for us.

We then managed a credible 0-0 draw with the 3rd placed team before going down 0-2 in our next league game. However, we gained our first league victory on Friday night against last years champions and followed it up last night against the bottom side, with a great 4-0 victory
We now sit 2 points above the relegation zone in 12th place

Looks like this thread is pretty dead, which is ironic, as our team could be dead after tonight too. If we lose tonight and Dudley Ogres get a victory, we are relegated
If we are relegated, we may not be financially viable for next season and only a big money investor could save us.

Last night's game was postponed and in a bizarre scenario, the previous nights league games have been made void because of a technical problem with the server.

This now means that we have 2 league games left but we're still only 3 points clear of the relegation zone. To be honest, it's actually a worse position than we were in last night

Here is the current situation:

62 Galatasary
60 Lagerfield
57 The Jakes
54 KC Shuffle
52 Simpsons Hammers
45 Newton Lions
41 Where is Steve
40 Aston Villains

34 Lone Rangers
33 RCDLC.com
33 FC True Blues
--------------------
30 Dudley Ogres
27 Taiwan Kickers
11 Wolverton Town
09 Jeduthun Army

Fixtures Remaining
Lone Rangers v Aston Villains
Galatasary v Lagerfield
RCDLC.com v Newton Lions
The Jakes v KC Shuffle
Dudley Ogres v Where is Steve
Jeduthun Army v Dynamo Valley
Simpsons Hammers v FC True Blues
Wolverton Town v Taiwan Kickers

Final Day
Dynamo Valley v Aston Villains
FC True Blues v Lagerfield
Taiwan Kickers v Newton Lions
Wolverton Town v KC Shuffle
Dudley Ogres v The Jakes
Jeduthun Army v Lone Rangers
Simpsons Hammers v Galatasary
Where is Steve v RCDLC.com

Newton Lions seem to hold the key to our survival. Sleep tonight Lions and roar for your final fixture!
