Default La Liga 26-09-2007 Deportivo 0v2 Recreativo (Post Match Comments)

Dissapointing to say the least.

More dropped points against a side that we really should be competing with. If we can't hit the target against teams like Almeria, Getafe and Recre; it's really not looking good for next months fixtures when we play 3 of the big boys.

I hate being too pessimistic but sooner or later, we won't be able to say "it's still early and we can turn this around". Let's do it early and save us all alot of stress.

I know we spent money on Guardado but I think someone should realise that we need to spend a bit more to strebgthen the side. It might cost us a few million but I'm damn sure it will cost us more in the long run if we get sucked into the relegation zone.

i think we can only see how strong or weak we are when Valeron is back.
But that said: we shouldn't solely rely on him, we know what happens when we do that! And not just the last years!

people please stop hoping for a valeron return, i dont really think he will ever be able to play some serious football, the guy is 31 or even 32 now, and has been injured for how long almost 2 years now. Hoping he will make a drastic change is just denying what has to be done, team needs to be cleared of tabordas, sergios and manuel pablos. Maybe someone will feel that i am going over the top, but the last few years we have been using these players and being nice, and where are we now. With some luck in the middle of the table, but in reality we are in the bottom 5 on shown play. Investor come and save us.

The problem is not Valeron. Verdú seems to be just fine, but what does it matter when he comes in while we're 0-2 behind and with 30 minutes left?

Taborda shouldn't play as a starter, he should be used as a last minute weapon. Adrian or Bodipo would without doubt be better. Haven't seen the goals, but something in the defense must be wrong, cause this can't be true. Another thing is why the hell Pablo Alvarez haven't got the chance yet... Just as weird as playing with poor Sergio, when we know what the result will be. If we win against Espanyol, which is highly unlikely, we'll maybe have a chance of not being in the relegation zone in November. The future certainly doesn't look bright IMO.

Lotina will have to change his formation. After the offensive subs Depor started to play and we created some opportunities.

Our coaches are afraid of loosing and they always choose a defensive system. This system won´t work without quality players. I´ve seen enough matches in the Caparros era and now Lotina saga to be sure of that!

Normally I should be the lucky one of being able to see most of the matches, but to be honest it´s not a joy to watch.. frustating is a better word.
Like I said before, we should aim more at our offensive capabilities, otherwise we´ll be destined to lucky goals and individual quality.

* Lafita can go back to Zaragoza.. In all these matches I've seen only ONE good action (last sunday).
* Aythami had a unlucky game. It was his first match so we can't judge him too hard, but I don't think he's ready for Primera level. He's still young though, so this is quite logical.
* I don't want to know how our defence would have looked without Coloccini. He's the best player so far this season.
* Guardado has a very good mentality! He fights for every ball. He's scaloni + techique
What he needs is 1 or 2 players like Valeron around him, he wants too much now.

Conclusion: Very dissapointing game. Lotina has to invent something very soon! IMO some tactical offensive changes can make a big difference.

What has P.Alvarez done wrong?
Adrian?De Guzman?
Lotina has to change his thinking now.
We have played 5 games which I wouldn't consider hard ones, we haven't played anyone that will challenge for CL and probably not UEFA and we have 5 points, that is just not good enough.
I thought that maybe after the Almeria game we might be on the right track, but unfortunately I think we are in for a long hard season.

Javientes: you stole the words of my mouth. What the hell are you doing Lotina!
Lafita has only made two good crosess... in four games! Rodriguez is totally out during the games and Sergio making a lot of assistances... for the rival.

Why to change the lineup is it's working out?
Why to put Taborda searching for a header when you are promising good football?

He'll never change his losers mentality; we have to change HIM (a coach I never liked before - sad day it was when I heard he signed for Depor!)

I totally agree.
About the defence. They are good as individuals except Barragan who is in my opinion a big hole in our defence and very slow making passes in the attack. The problem is that they (defenders) seem to have never played together. Both goals were mack of concentration and could have been avoided.

I agree again but tonight he lost almost all his duels.

IMO, he was the best man tonight (not considering Coloccini because he can't add a lot to the attack from his position).
Sergio is not doing miracles but he's making me change my idea that he's the worst central midfielder we have. He deserves IMO a starting place - for the moment.

I Think i worned some of those who agreed On Lotina

we have good Players that can make some differences

like cris on the right

de guzman in the center...why is he out of the list !!

filipe as an offensive side back

We need damn goals ....even if we alow goals we should at least score some

almeria 3-0

recar 2-0 ......in our home atleast one or two goals in our own side
we need demon speed players we need players like Riki, adrian, bodipo, ruben to play as starters

Lotina should cut out his crappy technique ...and starts to play with logic

de guzman + sergio

or

verdu+de guzman
------

cristian-guardo

alvarez-cristian

-------

Riki-adrian
or
riki-bodipo
(Ruben could be a good subtitiue)
----------
