From what I remember from watching him play he is similar to Mosquera with a little bit more creativity. He did play out of position as a #10 and he definitely looks more comfortable playing as a #8. He is not as physical and fit as Edu but seems like he will start/rotate with Mosquera for the spot next to Alex. Hopefully a more fit central midfielder or ball winner will be signed before the end of the transfer window (after we sign a Forward).

My people hate Japan because of political, historical reasons, but we all admit Gaku has quality. He conquered Japan and Asia. Also scored twice in FIFA Club World Cup final against Real Madrid.

You can think him as Colak+Fajr. Maybe more similar to Fajr.

- A good passer with vision and creavity like Colak
- A hard worker. Do his best like Fajr
- A good set-piece taker
- Can use either foot
- Experienced. Participated in the World Cup and Asian Cup once.

- Often disappear after 75 minutes. Bad stamina.
- Weak at physical and aerial duels
- Need a defensive midfielder beside him

Gaku has grown as a typical attacking midfielder but improved a lot in defensive ability recently. He fits well in 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1, tactics with 3 midfielders.

I hate Japanese but like Gaku as an individual. Most Japanese players in Europe are professional, diligent, humble and Gaku is one of them. Not like Colak or Luisinho.

If Gaku countinued his career in his country, he could earn a lot of money. A high salary, maybe ten times more than in Spain. He's now the most popular player in Japan and as you know, Japan is a nation with great economic power.

But Gaku left Japan because he wanted to challenge. He doesn't play for money. He still wants to become a better player. Hope he can shine in Depor.

Technically perfect and no physical presence? I think I am gonna like him.

Waiting for some Japanese invasion on the forum and also in the stands of the Riazor from now. We should be nice to them.

Looks like a very good replacment for Edu. Though our midfield is getting old and there is not a lot of transfer potential I hope this will bring more stability and results.

The expectations towards Gaku are big both from Depor and Japan as well. I read he has done a compromise regarding his salary. If is the case hats off to this guy and good luck to him.
If he starts the season well he can be the leader we all have been looking for.

Yeah, i admire him for that and hope he does lead by example. Apparently he could have a far bigger salary in Japan. The rest of the new recruits worry me though. A big welcome from me!
