Cheers Riazor.

My Invisibles side won 11-1 but the game was abandoned after 77 minutes after the opposition team had their 6th red card.

I've now got 5 players injured including 2 of my best defenders who are out for 12 weeks each . NOT HAPPY!!!!!!!

F.C Portugal lost 3-1 but that was not a bad result considering Benfica were Premiership Champs for about 4-5 season on the trot.

Good results all round but didn't Peter lose 5-13? I know he had the same problem as Lebn8r and his keeper went AWOL without him making a sub but I can't remember if he won or lost now. Anyone winning without a keeper can count themselves extremely lucky

I've been just looking at your results.

In the game which you lost, both teams played attacking football and you only started with 9 men but I'm still surprised there were so many goals.

In the next game, you started with 10 men and won 7-6 thanks to winning the tactical battle (att v def). The reason you concede so many is because your keeper is pretty crap and you don't start with 11 each game lol. Fortunately, when you start, you often get a team in a lower league with crap players but the most of the other teams are of a similar standard. That's why you get such close high scoring games.

Your 3rd game was attack v attack and you started with 11. Their keeper made yours look like Buffon .

If I was you, I'd make a few little changes. You have 3 keepers and the worst of them is in your starting line-up. I would utilise your best players and play a 5-3-2 with the following team

1.GK - Ed Jewcation
2. DEF(R) - Bart Ender
3. DEF(R) - Renee Sace
4. DEF(C) - Midas Well
5. DEF(AC) - Brighton Early
6. DEF(L) - Bill Ding
7. MID(R) - Al Kaseltzer
8. MID(AC) - Samson Night
9. MID(L) - Huang Annsaw
10. STR(R) - Hugh Mungous
11. STR(C) - Sheri Cola

I won my last match 6-1.

I have some doubts going into the rest of the season, 2 of my 3 keepers have gone AWOL on me!!! arrgghh!!

Question: How do we manage the team while we play? Can we manage the team while the match is in progress? When are the games played, as the TIME?

The games are played between 3 and 4 o'clock GMT. Friendlies and private leagues as well as most cups are played in our afternoon while all league games and Champions Shield games are played during the night for us Europeans.

AWOL's can be a big pain in the ass so to avoid this and keep your squad reasonably fit; do this:
Go to training and select morale boosting. If the afternoon games (GMT) have not been played, select Nice Rest.
If the afternoon games (GMT) have been played but the league/night games (GMT) have not, choose Rehabilitation.

If you do this, it keeps your AWOL's down to about 2-3 a season as opposed to about 2-3 a game lol.

Cheers!!

That would be a massive help, so should i use this approach when my players have gone AWOL or is it a case of "prevention is better cure"?

Well i lost to Feli but i won again in the my league which moved me into 1st place.

I'm playing a Human for the first time tommorrow, so it should be interesting.

Bought a new keeper to help help my ageing defence.

Last night's results:

Feli leads the way in the Premiership battle in Conference 7 and with all 4 of our teams in the top 6, that has to be considered pretty good going. NewcastleUnited has taken his team of no-hopers into the top division ad got the cheque book out but he's doing far better than I ever expected he would at this stage.

In the Conference 6 Premiership, my reigning champions are struggling to hold on to the coatails of the leaders, after losing 3 key players to injury. With all players now available again, hopefully I can mount a challenge to Colten Wanderers but the worrying news is, one of the best managers on the benny server is considering joining this division with one of teams

In the Conference 8 Premiership, Lee is doing well to stay out of the relegation places as is it probably the toughest of all the Premierships. He is gradually rebuilding his ancient team with the free credits he gets everyday but can not compete for the best players with such a small budget.

Riazor's Little Common team were going along nicely with a 100% record until last night when he went down 3-5. He had 2 players sent off and played the entire 90 minutes with a tactical disadvantage so 3-5 wasn't too bad really.

Lebn8r has recovered from an indifferent start to lead the division and looks like a good bet for promotion at least. If he can hang on to top spot, they'll be a nice 1000 credit reward for him.

Fenerbahce are also improving and after last night's game, they made it into the promotion places. It seems like quite a close league with the top 11 only 8 pts apart. If he keeps on top of things, Turkish could take his side up this year.

Peterke had a great start but lost his password and can't seem to retrieve it. This has meant that he can't make any alterations to his team which has resulted in a fair few tonkings. Promotion is about as likely as something not very likely.

My third team, Fabril, is going along nicely with the only 100% record left amongst us. I got it to play the newer players with a team not as advanced as the Premership teams and although the players are really quite crap, they are doing well. I'm trying not to buy any players with this squad, so it makes things more equal in our friendlies.

Last but not least, heidern got a team on Tuesday night and although they didn't have a game then, they opened up with a fine 11-1 win under heidern's management. BabyDepor were in the relegation zone before last night's game but the heidern effect has seen them jump up into 10th place now. There's still plenty of the season left and BabyDepor are only 5 points behind a playoff position, so fingers crossed.

My team continued in its rich vein of form smashing "Blue Star Rangers" a whopping 20-1. This was the first human team i faced so its a morale boost for myself and this has consolidated my position at the top of the ladder with a far superior goal difference.

Computer teams can be promoted and promotion places depend on which league your're in. Winning the league is a guaranteed way of getting promotion and in most other leagues, the top 3 are promoted. It's possible that you could finish 7th and still get promoted if the playoffs go down to 7th and you're successful in them.

Here's a list of tips like you asked for. It was quicker than I thought because I realised I'd sent heidern the whole lot in a PM so I just had to copy and paste

Quote:
SundayLeague Tips

If the weather is:

Rainy or Snowy - play Longball
Sunny - Continental
Normal - whatever you like
Windy - Passing

If the pitch is:

Frozen - wear blades
Hard - wear astros
Muddy - wear studded
Soft - wear moulded
Normal - wear moulded or blades

If the ref is :
Butch Gravelneck - I go with pansy/offsides ON
Billy Bludgeon - I go with pansy/offsides ON
Terence Trendy - I go with pansy/offsides ON
Jasper Goodhead - I go with pansy/offsides ON
Terence Frisk - I go with normal/offsides ON
Simon Pieman - I go with normal/offsides OFF
Lennox Lummox - I go with normal/offsides OFF
Wilmot Piddlethwaite - I go with nutter/offsides OFF
Cecil Dingleberry - I go with nutter/offsides OFF
Buster Jones Junior - I go with psycho/offsides OFF

Michael McLintock - depends on whether you are the underdog or not. If you are the under dog, go with normal/offsides ON but if you are the favorite, go with pansy/offsides OFF.

Hope this helps and remember to get your free credits each day.
Set "Morale Boosting" to NICE REST before the afternoon games and to REHABILITATION in the evenings and this will keep your squad pretty fit and stop them from going AWOL.
