Tristán was a Betis player and then was in Mallorca.
I think is difficult to know the teams that the players like because they are afraid of the consecuences: Do you imagine if Zidane says that his favorite is Barcelona?

Something I know for sure is that president Lendoiro supported R.Madrid...
Fran also had a "R.Madrid period/phase" in his youth, but fortunately that was over soon...

Alot of Spanish youngsters sign for Madrid, it's only natural they'd end up signing for smaller clubs.

Real Madrid is (was) the most popular team in Galicia before the big rivalry with Depor, no?

Irureta likes Atlético, Amavisca seems to be fond of Racing, Luque still likes Mallorca a lot.

Well, to be honest within Galicia the "big" team always was Celta... but R.Madrid was next in the list 'cos it was a "winner" (since Celta, or any other Galician team, never won a thing). R.Madrid was a "sure value"...
Anyway, it also depended on the area, 'cos many Celta supporters were also Barça supporters...
Anyway, it's true that in the city of A Coruña R.Madrid used to be big... (not anymore!!! )
