etoo is crap!! the day we sell tristan to get etoo is the day my heart shatters!!! but yeh i have read some VERY good points, and i agree with eckholme swe, pandiani is a finisher and tristan is a footballer. And watching games mattias u are right we didn't feed the striker (tristan) very well at all.

but at the same time, i think we need a finisher when we are only playing a lone striker... makaay was a finisher and a footballer, but mostly a finisher in my view and i think we miss that. its like van nistelrooy, he is a finisher, and NOT a footballer, but he still saves man u...

to be honest - and this might be violently disagreed with but i think we may need a slight formation change in terms of up front. i think we should use tristan for his natural abilities and maybee use him in a creative/striker role, with pandiani pushing on... maybee just to try it and see what happens?? because there is definately a problem i think...

but i still think Luque deserves a go, but at the same time he is great on the left actually because he attacks very much, and its great to watch...

and about the monaco match, tristans goal was a gem and i DO NOT!! blame that match at all on tristan, more 7 unlucky lack off concentration mistakes defensively... and 1 ok goal... but we should have won 3-1 on a normal day...

about criticism - its not that we think tristan is a crap player more that he is not in good form and, we, as fans should question EVERYONE'S selection, especially if we beleive there is a better player at that moment on the bench... its like barca at the moment - if i was a barca fan i would criticise kluiverts selection becaouse Saviola and Ronaldinho are better!!

and i think tristan has given HEAPS to the club but, he is not good at the moment - personally im against selling him, because what message does it tell the players - get out of form and we will sell u?? NO thats should NOT be the case!! and im actually stunned people want to replace him - we already have a striker overload we do not need another....

i agree tristan WILL be back he is too good not to come back with a bang, but at the moment i would not start him... he is too out of form, and if we want to have a crack at la liga, we need form players on the park...

Depor will never get Etoo. As I said before Depor bought Tristan instead of Etoo from Mallorca 3 years ago.

Yeah!! Normally Tristán is one of the best strikers in the world!! But unfortunately he hasn't proved so much so far this season. But we all know his capacity and we're just waiting for it.

BUT... until he finds his normal form again I think we should play Luque as a striker. He has definately proved his skills both as a striker and as a winger this season.

Tristan got the killing finishing skill

It sounds like many people, thinks that football transfers is like a cartoon or something like that... "sell tristan and buy Eto'o", come on, get back into the real world..

i don't think thats a violent criticism, but where would a change of the offenive formation leave valeron? and assuming that luque will still play on a regular basis, doesn't it mean relegating fran to the bench for long periods of time? and i don't think depor can afford to do that.
actually, i'm just guessing based on your paragraph, but perhap that's an idea worth fleshing out. i must say that i strongly believe that in depor, the system is larger than the players, the proof being the fact that two different strikers from the team were the pichichis two years in a row (without underestimating their individual qualities, of course). it doesn't mean that the same formation shouild be used forever, but its food for thought, i guess.
