it seems zaragoza will buy vedran corluka from dinamo zagreb, Tottenham had their for offer 5M euros rejected, so i guess zaragoza will be offering more for a player from the croatian league, than what they offered for a argentinian national defender

they thought that they can snatch one easily from us.. but i doubt that they will stop with Corluka.. isnt he very young? they have only one experienced CB (as far as i remember), Sergio.. they will need more exp. while playing in UEFA etc..

Zaragoza has signed Roberto ayala for 6 million, this might end the case with Coloccini.

Yea now we can sell Colo next year when he'll be one of the top central backs on the market. A defense of Colo and Lopo is solid with Amo/Rodri/and Ayanthi as insurance on the bench. Hopefully Rodri can go on loan again because I don't think he'll play as much as he should with Depor.

Good to hear with Zaragoza putting the money out for an aging Ayala, had Collocini left the club we would be in a bit of a state. We need to up our game a big deal and improve on last years league position to convince him to stay although at the moment it isn't looking too likely.

During the last weeks the case of Coloccini only has been going even more towards Depor's advantage
* First of all, the sale of Andrade makes Colo staying even more urgent. Lotina has asked the club that one of them would stay. Deportivo have the final word, and not Colo or his agent, because he has 4 more years of contract to go. We can be sure that Depor won't let him go easily.
* Second, apparently we don't need to sell Colo because we badly need some millions because of our debt. It seems very much related that within 24 hours after the sale of Andrade (10 million) we signed Guardado (7 million). If we had been that troubled, we would't have done that. Depor don't really need Colo's millions.
* Third, the signing of Guardado and possibly some other quality players in the next weeks counters the argument of Colo's agent that we keep signing Segunda B players. It's very much true that Depor's squad has become worse since his signing. But I'm convinced that in June we had our darkest moment and from now in the next years the squad only will get better. Our squad is improving which could convince Colo.
* Fourth, apparently Zaragoza think Ayala (34!) is worth 6 million Euro. Gaby Milito (who is 27 when the new season starts) was sold for 17 million Euro to Barcelona by Zaragoza themselves. It would be the joke of the year if they seriously think they can get Colo for 4 million after the deals they themselves have done before. Zaragoza don't have a case anymore with their low bid.
* Fifth, it's always good that our players are wanted because it means that they are good. Of course, it's even better if several clubs want a certain player because it increases the price. Despite Ayala's signing, it seems that Zaragoza continue their interest in Colo. But Villarreal desperately need a big name now after their shocking loss of Ayala. Remember they have fresh cash too after the sale of Forlán and Ayala and will get many millions more for Riquelme. The rivalry between and availability of cash at Zaragoza and Villarreal is good for Depor.
