Guardado is a great signing, I'm unaware of how many caps he has for Mexico but he is a regular starter and after that cracking goal against Uruguay he now has 3 goals for his country.

Guardado's best techniques are not his shooting qualities, but his pace and his dribbling technique, however he does boast a very good shot and he should both score and create many goals for Depor by using his effective pace. He'll probably pick up a few cautions this season coming too, he's a very aggresive player and for a striker he's a good marker.

As a left wing forward, Guardado is the ready-made replacement for Luque, both talent and potential taken into consideration.

This is a brilliant signing for Depor, although I do fear he may not be here long.

Credits for having "discovered'' Guardado first should go to Dejan!

Default Guardado's final game for ATLAS

Andres Guardado will have his final game for ATLAS on wendesday july 18 in El Estadio Jalisco in Guadalajara, Jalisco against San Lorenzo, the game will be held for two reasons first it is the 91 year anniversery of the club and also for the fans to say fare-well and good luck to "La Joya" Andres GUardado and to thank him for his dedication. Then He will join Deportivo La Coruna a week after they begin there the trainning season.

Why? The fee we got him at is a snip in all honesty taking into account his potential and even his talent now. He'll be worth even more too once he has a successful season in Spain and the big teams come sniffing.

Guardado worths every penny of it, I agree. But considering our financial status, the fee is very high for a single player.
But if we sell him at a higher price in the future, that's OK for me...

Yeah as I said in my post which begins this page I said I don't think we'll hold onto him long, taking into account he'll be using us as a stepping stone for recognition in Europe and we don't have the money for these players at the moment.

Well I am hopeful that we'll get good money from him. Seeing RM, Chelsea and others offering very high prices for young talents. Let's hope he becomes successful and earns us at least 25M € in the future...

But if he can not settle in the area and puts on bad perfomances, we can lose a good load of money too.

He's a quality player, likely to be a star in the future. But we must know that the cost of this gamble can be high, as 5.2 M € is not a low fee for us at the moment...

Come on Guardado, show us what you are made of !

We can't buy only Segunda or B teams players for 1,5 - 2 M or wait for those out of contract if we don't want to be relegated. For me Guardado was a very good move.

Let's not start thinking about how much benefit we can make out of selling him. The guy hasn't landed in La Coruna yet and you want him out. Let's hope he will have a great carreer here. And any interest from other clubs will nothing more than a logical consequence
