Default What's your solution to the goalscoring problem?

As Pandiani will almost surely continue at Depor and he never was a problem, what would you choose if you were Lendoiro, to make us more efficient because obviously we were far from perfect in that department. Here are some options

- Keep Diego Tristan who will hopefully be in form again, leave everything the same
- Keep Tristan and keep Rubén

Sell Tristan and...
- move Luque to the attack and Fran/Munitis/Momo to the left wing
- keep Rubén in the squad as #2
- buy someone but who? Tamudo? Etoo for a lot of cash? Murcia's Luis Garcia? David Villa for not cheap?

the problem wasn't only the poor performance of Tristán, the fact is that Depor is more slow than the past seasons, take the case of the match against Milan, did you remember any match in which the performance of Manuel Pablo and Romero were better? No, they were machines in the attack and the defense and that's one of the problem of the squad recently: the conviction and the velocity in the attack.

My solution should be the "old medicine" of a new winger and a third striker but, also some assist to Valerón should be right too, we need to increse the pressure and the velocity when we have the ball. The names of the solution to me are Maniche, D'Alessandro, Eto'o or Abreu.

i think we should keep pandiani, sell tristan and keep ruben to come off the bench - in 2 yrs he will be a gun!!!

i think more goals will come from midfield if maniche signs!!!

We should keep Pandiani and buy some scoring forward like Eto'o or Baptista... Maybe Rooney or van Nistelroy...

keep pandiani ....his sub is ruben. In midfield place valeron and maniche!!!!! perfect. Momo needs to get used to left. So sell munitis and get guerrero. Let him play on the left. Sell Luque and get Tamudo. Now you got three strikers. So loan ruben. This is perfect. its the most logical thing. if your providers are good and your stirker is fed a lot the greater the chance of scoring!!...rather than saying the striker himself should take care of things. Valeron was a king last season thats y makaay scored so many!!......By the way its time for tristan to go and get a good defender for naybet!.......

sell luque ??? i don't think it's a good idea
but it'll be different if he himself wants to leave depor
i don't think ruben already ready for europe at this time
i think tamudo and maniche should be perfect
about maniche ... he is a great long range shooter !

I would really like to see Eto'o play upfront alongside Pandiani. I've been very impressed by Eto'o's perfomances at Mallorca (especially against Real Madrid ) and he would be just the signing to raise morale for the club.

The only problem is we'd probably have to sell Luque to Barcelona to afford Eto'o - and, if we have to sell players to raise cash, I'd rather sell them to foreign clubs rather than to Liga rivals.

I would

-> Sell Pandiani for more than 10 million €
-> buy a world-class striker (Eto´o) for 18 million €

Reasons:

Depor needs IMO:
-> one world-class-striker
-> one good substitute
-> one young player who doesn't moan being third choice (that's already Ruben)

If you want to make economically sound decisions you must value your players and see what you get for them...
Given the fact that we urgently need a striker, and Jabo sticks to his 1-striker-formation, it must be a world-class-striker, one like Makaay... Pandiani is a solid striker, but definitely not a world-class one, so relying on him isn't the best solution...
However, if you buy a world-class one, you need a good substitute which leads to the question Pandiani or Tristan... The decision here goes to sell Pandiani, since Tristan doesn't have so much value after a mediocre performance last season and Pandiani's value won't go higher after he sits one year on the bench/is second choice...
So right now you get more than 10 million € for Pandiani which you won't get in one year's time...

Basically: Eto'o for Pandiani.....

Like DeporForest and jw2000de I like Etoo a lot too and consider him a future world class player, he still has a lot of potential. But currently he's not clearly better than Pandiani whose aerial ability and consistent motivated hard work is invaluable. So Pandiani could turn out to be more successful wherever he goes. Very difficult indeed.

i dont see that much of a problem to be honest - the signings this year have been smart and angle for the future!!

i think Ruben on the bench for pandiani would do fine, and also i think that manich will create more goals in midfield anyway!!
