Default LIGA: 07.01.2007 Deportivo Vs. Real Madrid (post-match comments)

Happy newyear Madrid

Arizmendi was brilliant, despite the fact he missed loads of chances... But I don't think we would've won this game without him. At least we've shown that this team simply does not have to fear relegation. There's potential enough in this squad. Hopefully Caparros will stick to this strategy now... It took him half a season to finally get it right for once. And welcome back Valeron!

I hope 2007 will be our year

I thought all players were excellent today

Solid at the back, in the centre of midfield Duscher and De Guzman were great and well what can I say Riki and Arizmendi surprised me if they played like that every week all our problems would be gone.!!!!!!!!!!

Default Deportivo 2v0 Real Madrid La Liga 7th Jan 2007 (Post Match Comments)

It's only one game I know but this was more like the Depor we know and love.
We fought for everything, we hussled and bussled, we looked to play football and the players actually looed like they wanted to do more than just pick up our paychecks.

If Arizmendi could only finish, he would have easily doubled his goals.

Andrade's comeback went well with no worres about his condition and it was nice to see Valeron get on got the last minute or 2.

Thank you Depor, that's more like it.

The goals:

Capdevila 1-0

Cristian 2-0

Phaaantastic game by our guys

We played better than ever! Real only got a few chances, while we had at least 4 bigger ones. Our defence was solid, nothing came through and our defensive midfield(De Guzman and Duscher) played very well aswell. Our offence did good too and created alot of chances. A little critisism to our attack is that we needed too many chances to score our goals, but right now I don't care at all, since we won.

This is what makes it funny being a Depor fan.

FOOOOOORZA DEPOR!

What a game!!! Pure Dominance for all except about 5 minutes in the first half

we MUST continue with this lineup and eventually replave riki with valeron or verdu (i still have faith in him)

It's obvious that the psychology aspect is very important to this year's team...After so many bad results these kids couldn't find the guts to get it over. But this is a new start!!!

Ok, Depor is no the super-Depor we used to know, but we are not a team to fight to avoid the relegation zone.
The most important fact is that it's clear that the team has more dynamic than what we saw in the last months

D-E-P-O-R-T-I-V-O!!!!!

the come-back of Valeron comes on the worst time possible. After this game, we dont have place for him in the next game! Unless the next game is "back to normal", than we need him again more than ever
