Compostela? don't care about them, they are in Segunda B.

i guess the administrators cut the costs at the youth categories like stopping the bus service to Abegondo etc. imo, those are the reasons why there is a sudden exodus in youth teams..

As I promised, today we start to review the season of the lads

SEASON REVIEW 2013/14: JUVENIL A
http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/n-news.php?cid=5919

Juvenil A ended the season on last Saturday. The rest of teams end the season in May. I think we have enough material to cover Juv A & B and Cadete A & B

I'm not too worried about winning titles at underage level. Player development is more important. The problems at the start of the year were good in a way for a lot of players. Playing in older age groups is brilliant experience and toughens up kids. This year's Juvenil A team could end up supplying one or two First Teamers, probably defenders. That's a return rate we should all be happy with.

I totally agree, the youth system is on point down at Abegondo and they are consistently producing 1-2 youth national players per age group. Unfortunately, the biggest challenge is convincing a 14-15 year old youngster to stay at Depor or go to a bigger club. At that age, they already know what's going on and hard to say no to a big club. When I spent my time there this summer, I left a lot more impressed then when I came in and hopefully the next phase of the youth system is the addition of international kids, not just limited to Galicia and its surrounding areas.

Bloodletting at the Youth categories. 5 coaches fired already (4 from the A teams)

I'm all for a shake up, but this is wild!!

All these coaches were named by Lendoiro. As example Subirán (Cadete A) is his newphew. For better or worse Tino is cleaning the house

after Cadete A have made a great season why Tino sacked the coach? it's quite weird to me.. he sacked the wrong coach, perhaps.
