24/Oct/2017: 16h44: Deportivo: Pepe Mel has been sacked. Cristóbal Parralo is the new coach of Deportivo's first team.

The best news this season. Sad to say so, but its true.
Cristobal welcome to the A team - may you have so much success as with Fabril.

Until the end of season.
Why are you against him? His results with Fabril are more than impressive and he certainly earned at least a chance.

For sure he is not worst than Oltra, Mel, Garitano and Caparros.. I am optimist.
Welcome on board.

i been sayng give him a chance when we got rid of victor sanchez.
i hope its a good fit. he did really well with fabril so lets give him some support and confidence and see how it goes.

this way the club has more time to negotiate a higher quality coach rather than bouncing from one mediocre unemployed manager to another all the time. or if he does well keep him for the longterm

i think its a good move. huge gamble but some approach has to change cuz this depor is embarrassing

Welcome to the 1st team and best of lucks!

It's incredible, but I didn't realize he had been a professional player until now that I read the article about him: http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/n...cid=8278&ctg=1

The funny thing, now I perfectly remember that player called Cristóbal playing in the 90's, and he was quite good as a right back for Oviedo, Logroñés, Barça, Espanyol and even played a few times with the Spanish NT. But never thought that our Fabril coach Parralo was that Cristóbal until now.

Big surprise. A bit risky move, but at least there's a hope that we will improve. With Mel there was no hope.

Good luck Mr. Cristobal. I keep my fingers crossed.

Not really impressed with this guy! Coaching Fabril and coaching a first division team are two different things. Having said that I am just glad its not another one of those run down relegation-club candidates similar to Lotina or Pepe Mel.

well, his work with Fabril is great so war, yes Segunda is different from premiera, at least this coach has tactics something we didn't see with Pepe Mel.

IF he couldn't do the job, all blame should fall on Barral

as soon as he produces some J. Navas, S. Ramos and J. A. Reyes to the world of football, I agree with you.
