![]() Gaku is the only "proven" player that we got in the summer. Of course he has his issues, otherwise he wouldn't play in segunda, so in this sense it was a risk.
These risks could work out, or not work out (we have seen examples with Babel, Kakuta, etc...). The youngsters are another risk as well. This is the role of the sporting manager, to have a vision on which risks might succeed in order to bring them in the squad. Bringing in Gandoy and Mujaid, because the transfers failed is dumb imo. What is smart, is to make Gandoy and Mujaid proper players and bring them in. We have to use the fabril players because they are really good, not because the first team players are really bad. |

![]() For me Gaku is a luxury player to have, although they are worlds apart, I would say its like Ozil at Arsenal.
Silky player with nice passes, but is unable to play rough, is not physically strong, unable to tackle or help out in defence. If you are going to have a player like this in your Team, you need others to do some of the dirty work, and we don't have that, and nor do Arsenal. Which is why these type of players often get bad press. Of all the Fabril players, Gandoy is the one I'd most like to see given a chance. Not only because he is a local lad, but like Edu before him, I think he could potentially become a regular player in the 1st Team.

![]() Now i got the message Paco Zaz and the board wanted to send by choosing a non-Depor shirt for the season.
Forget what you know, this won't be Depor. A smart move i say |

![]() If we go down at the end of the season, Alex, Borja Valle, and Boveda have the chance to make history by playing for the same club at three different levels (primera, segunda, segunda b). Legends!

Very similar division to the Championship here in the UK. You have a run of three/four wins and from the bottom half of the table you can land in the promotion zone and vice versa. Quote:
I hope your right about the quality to avoid the drop, but totally agree regarding the rest of the post. You only have to look at a club like Real Zaragoza (7th straight season in Segunda) to see how hard it is to gain promotion. Ps, sorry to quote you from other threads Last edited by Diligent : 17-10-2019 at 19:56. |

![]() Victor Sanchez explaining why Depor has reached the bottom "The clubs in which there are problems in management, it end up affecting the sporting aspect, but management problems have to be resolved from management, and sporting problems, from the sporting aspect. "
Unfortunately he is right. It's quite disturbing the club is not trying to resolve either of these problems.

![]() The positive case is that they don’t try…in this case, maybe at some moment they will start trying.
I think, they can’t. It’s not that everyone is being able to run a football club, and as it seems that applies for Tino and Paco Zaz. They can’t run a football club. But I guess that there are still people that understand football, that know Depor very well that love Depor and A Coruna and can help. But somehow the current board has to cooperate and listen to these people. Whoever they could be (veterans, Lendoiro, 85yr old Arsenio, anyone….) Not an ideal solution, but a better solution than expecting Zaz to learn how to manage a club, Carmelo how to manage a team and Boveda how to manage a ball in the field. |

![]() for me Boveda is okay. sometimes I even like him, no kidding. at least he can run. always one of the best with the most kms ran. I have more problems with other former Bilbao players in our team.

![]() So it appears that the board of directors will be meeting tonight, to make decisions.
Carmelo could be fired, or Zas could resign.

![]() When I heard program of Zas, I already knew what it would be a disaster. Every time I hear about local identity, more homegrown players I consider it as a bullshit. Because it's a matter of a minumum of 5 years. Our academy isn't good enough and we couldn't rely on it. And we're not Athletic with strongest scouting system in the province.

![]() I read somewhere that Carmelo was signed on a 3 year deal worth 250k a year.
Therefore if we sacked him, we would need to pay off the remainder of his contract. Not sure how much truth there is in this. So looks like there will be Elections in December.
