Default Riazor (attendance/new stadium)

Did you know that Deportivo wants to remodelate the actual stadium?
The president Lendoiro will present the project to the A Coruña City Council soon. This ampliation is signed by the prestigious architect Peter Eisenman.
Deportivo wants to make Riazor a complete leisure center with cinemas, shops, ....

nothing really... Riazor quite matches the city's requirements, and remember that it also was recently improved... I personally love that stadium.
I suppose that Lendoiro was "to pack", that is to say, to impress, do something nice and big and attrack investments, visitors, tourists, etc. (he'll be having meetings with all the political parties in the municipality, for instance... He wants a consensus and the certainty that the project is going to be supported by everyone...).

Riazor is quite small, but it isn't sold out during most matches I guess... I like it too, it's soo intimidating and close to the sea... I have never before seen such a nice stadium....

I don't know either, but I imagine they will somehow reconstruct the current stadium... because if they break it down first we have no stadium left!

It seems as if they want to improve Riazor by building some sort of "complex" or "Depor shopping centre" around/near it, with shops, Depor restaurants, a Depor museum, etc. and also add a couple of changes to the stadium itself...
Well, I wonder where, 'cos apart from an area just behind the stadium there's no much room there (it's a highly populated area)... anyway, maybe that space behind Riazor is enough, I don't know, I'm not an architect...
It is true that there was a wild plan to build a brand new stadium, but there's no money for that (and no real will), so they'll take all possible advantage from Riazor until it becomes too old.
Personally, I'm happy with our nice, small and cute "temple"

Yes, I don't see us getting 45,000 supporters in a new stadium as matches normally aren't sold out now... our current stadium is sufficient and very intimate, let's keep it this way...

I think that the stadium is quite nice already... This new project focuses on the "surroundings", with no major changes to Riazor itself.

maybe the stadium isnt a priority now... maybe later IF more pple come to the games such that it's too full, then would it be a priority. of course, it's ok to build a bigger one in advance, in anticipation of greater popularity and success for the team in future, but it's not a priority for now...
