Default Ex-Player topic: Omar Bravo (29, Attacker, now at Guadalajara)

By now I bet most of us have heard about the possible arrival of Mexican striker Omar Bravo(27) to Deportivo La Coruna during the winter transfer window or after his contract with Club Deportivo Guadalajara (Mex.) expires next year. Since the year 2001 he has scored 104 goals in 231 appearances with his club, and 13 goals in 49 national team appearances. I haven't really seen him play much with his club team, only with Mexico's national squad. From what I've seen he is a very fast and agile player with excellent dribbling skills. To me his only defect is his height as he is only 1.74 m (5'8"). So what do you guys think?

I liked him in Copa America, but in Mexican Champs he is far from his best (in his stats). If no-one else comes, let's contract this guy. But I think we should have contracted him two years ago, and maybe we are a little late now. He is 27, isn't he?

he is 27, and if he comes for free or a small amount it wud be risk worth taking.. otherwise, i'm afraid if he fails we cud be loosing too much.. anyway i'm sure that lendoiro wont spend more than €3 million on him.. if we are fast enough we cud net him for free..

He played really well in Copa America. And I liked him very much. But I don't how is he doing now in Mexico. I agree with Myfavdepo, If we can get him for free or for little money, then why not...

It's the Mexican league, but still those are great numbers. If he came for free or under 3mill, I'd sign him. But only before we sold one of our strikers (Taborda/Ruben) and loaned out another(Adrian). We have waaaaaaay too many strikers on the squad.

Yep, we have too many strikers. We should try to sell Taborda, if there is any club in this world who wants to buy him..

Dude I just saw well....a couple of hour ago the game between Chivas play
against Monterrey. It was a pretty good game. Chivas 1 0 Monterrey
El veno (deer) Medina makes the beautiful pass to Bravo up the middle and dribbles then cut to his right Baloy(Panama national player) from Monterrey takes the fake shoots right in front of the keeper and scores BEAUTIFUL
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOL!!!. Chivas are in second place in thier group. They are going to make it to the LEAGUE where the top teams from all groups fight for the title.
Dude there are a really young team Bravo is one of the eldest players . That is the only team in Mexico that has nothing but Mexican nationals. They only use players from thier camps. They have oh about 3 or 4 players that are from 18 to 20 in there line ups.
OUPS sorry...Omar Bravo play really good. As far as playing for nothing well don't know about that one. He makes.....I don't know about 2 million a year now. But the goog thing is that his contract ends this season and Depov can talk to his agent and Bravo direct.
We do have alot of strikers but some fall short and should be sold IMO. He is an opption. I would like to see him in blue and white.
